I agree with Reaver. What the good part is this isn't even its final form! I love fast fighting games.
i hope youre joking

Yeah, if you know a thing or two about competitive fighting games, slow games are considered a snooze fest (i.e. Tekken and Soulcalibur). Fast fighting games like Street Fighter, KoF, Guilty Gear, and Persona 4: Arena are more popular because of the quickness.
I think the game looks awesome right now. If they can get everything to feel a bit heavier and less floaty it would be perfect![]()
There's a stamina bar. You can't run for forever. You can run for like 2 seconds at a time max so block infinites
The people who think Tekken is boring need to slap themselves.
On topic though, this game is nowhere near too fast. It's actually perfect IMO in terms of speed, if this game is too fast for you, then you clearly joined the series post-MK4.
they wont. they are using the injustice engine not the mortal kombat engine. this is why it looks so floaty injustice had the same problem.
and this is the main problem im trying to address> they are not using the mortal kombat engine that they built for MK9. so instead of evolve the MK9 engine which was already great that engine has took a back seat and what we have for MK10 is the injustice engine with MK characters and different backgrounds. which really sucks coz injustice played like shit compared to MK9
if your like me and loved the MK9 fighting engine but hated the injustice one then you are not going to enjoy MK10. and if youve played both games then you dont need to play MK10 to figure it out you can tell just by watching how the game flows in the gameplay footage
youll notice its very light and scrappy and none of the hits feel like they have true impact, the whole flow is messy and all over the place, confusing and ugly to watch
the reason why MK9 topps all other fighting games for me is the pace. it plays almost in real time. its not too slow like tekken nor is it too fast or look sped up like street fighter or MVC or injustice. a lot of the floaty problem lies in the pacing of the game and when its too fast theres no weight to it and no time to feel the impact of each hit and thats why the hits feel like theyre not really doing anything so combos have no satisfaction and you can bearly make out what the characteres are doing. injustice had all these same problems and all these peoblems have leaked over to MK10 because like i said technically this is just a new version of injustice not a follow up to MK9.
MK9 had none of these problems it was a much better fighting engine.
UMK3 and trilogy both had stamina meters and it still had block infinites. I feel much better if they just remove it entirely. There was nothing wrong with forward dashing it worked just fine in mk9 IMO. I'm cool with faster movements in mkX but I don't see anything good coming from the run mechanic. My two cents.
People who think Tekken is boring and slow probably can't even play the game right. Just saying. I bet they think they can win by using Eddie and mashing buttons lol.
Also, I never said SF4. I meant other SF games which are much faster and still popular.lol SF4 is fast? I'll ask people on SRK about this now. #Kappa
and @Immortal Reaver: MK9 is not a slow game.
MK9 is slow but SF4 is fast. I must be in an alternate universe or someshit like that now.
