Is anyone else looking forward to E3 2012?

Hoping nintendo announced some games. New Super Mario Bros WiiU aint gonna cut it for me as a launch title. Gonna have to show me more than that.

I heard Valve unsurprisingly has NOTHING to show this year. So If nintendo is a letdown, I'll be disapointed. But seriously besides promoting the oh so overblown free mess that is Dota 2, and making goofy hats in TF2, what the hell are they doing?

But either way I'm sure theres gonna be some cool game that pops up. There usually always is.

I was really hoping the new Paper Mario was going to play like Super Paper Mario and not the old turn based rpg bull shit.

I loved Mario RPG

I loved Super Paper Mario.
I just hate having my chances of beating a game based more on luck rather than skill.
I can get through most of that ****ing game without getting hit once, when I get Barry & Bowser.
But in the other Paper Marios I constantly die and try to avoid a ****ing goomba because I don't know who else I'll have to battle if I touch him.

considering last years E3 was a big steamy pile of monkey crap I'm setting my expectations extremely low
This is what I want to see more of
1. Monolith softs Wii U project
2. more rainbow six patriots gameplay
3. Netherelm's new game ( MK10 would be beast )
4. Final Fantasy 13 versus ( something HELL anything!!)
5 The Last of us gameplay ( I cant wait to see what the Uncharted 2 team has in store)
6 unreal engine 4 reveal
and thats it
I don't feel I'm asking for too much.

Sony have updated their official E3 2012 website with details such as:

Be one of the first to witness the launch of more than 20 new gaming experiences. Sony also confirmed the amount of gaming kiosks that will be available:

200+ PLAYABLE KIOSKS. 72 HOURS... NEVER STOP PLAYING.

So it turns out Sony will be revealing a massive amount of titles for PS3 and PS Vita.

Looking Forward to Hitman: Absolution, Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 (if it's announced).
Other than that, I could care lesss about WiiU, PS4 or the Next Xbox systems.
Even though I don't expect any next-gen console news until next year, the whole "not going to play used games" thing was a big let-down.

Also add to that list Dishonored.

So, the games I'm looking forward to are:

- Far Cry 3
- Assassin's Creed 3
- Hitman: Absolution
- Dishonored

Yeah honestly I'm expecting this. Why wouldn't they MK9 was the best selling fighting game of last year.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announce MK9 for the Wii-U instead.

No South Park game at E3 this year

If you were counting on playing Obsidian's South Park: The Stick of Truth (formerly South Park: The Game) anytime soon, we have to crush your dreams: the title has been delayed to the fourth quarter of the 2013 financial year. This is to say, you can expect it sometime between January and March 2013, assuming it isn't delayed again.

The specific reason for the delay isn't known. Publisher THQ is in serious financial trouble at the moment, but also, developer Obsidian has a history of buggy games, and this is a radically different project for them.

Speaking of THQ's financial troubles just reminded me of another game I was looking forward to E3, Dawn of War III. This coupled with the recent Relic layoffs leads me doubt whether we will even get the game.

Crossing my fingers for a Sub Zero \ Scorpion action adventure game, in the style of Shaolin Monks.

I would be pissed if NRS did this. I want a great fighting game. I believe they can make one.

I'll never forget watching this for the first time it got my blood pumping and it was the day were I started counting down the days till the game's release. I really want to see a new mk fighting game that doesn't have game breaking bugs and resets. I hope they let the game evolve this time and don't patch random thing in the first 6 months without people knowing how to counter them.

They already did.
It's called MK9. LOL

Seriously though, Shoalin Monks was a good game, and it would be nice to see NRS take a break in between fighting games and either do a sequel to Shaolin Monks or a new game altogether.
Game companies like Capcom aren't ONLY known for doing Resident Evil.
It would be nice to see NRS expand.

Mk9 has resets, input bugs, and player 1 advantage. These 3 things don't make a great game. I love mk9 it's probably my favorite game but its far from being perfect.

IMO MK9 was first good MK in a long time and I would like another in the near future instead of an action game. I don't play action games anymore I don't find them appealing anymore unless there's a huge concentration on puzzles. If NRS made an adventure game I wouldn't be interested at all. All I want is a good MK Fighting game. The monks game was fun but I don't see me playing it for more than a week. I have been playing mk9 consistently on and off for more than a year now. The fighting game genre is my favorite. I think if NRS wants to "expand" they shouldn't abandon the genre that got them to where they are today. Also you can't really compare NRS to Capcom. You would have to compare Warner Bros to Capcom. They should physically expand and make more than one game at a time if they decide to drift away from the fighting game genre. I think they should at least make one more fighting game before taking a break.

what i do every year

time splitters 4
killer instinct 3

now what i want to see
darkstalkers 4
sony smash bros
ssbm
txsf tralier

Meh.
I always get Silent Hill and RE mixed up.

I never implied that they should "abandon" the genre that got them there.
My point is that it would be nice to see NRS do something different, and make a sequel to MK9 later.
As much as I love MK9, and would be more than happy to see a sequel, I also don't want to see MK being whored out every year, like UMvC is.
