Injustice Discussion Thread

Think of it like this. You want a few ninjas in Mk, but you don't want there only to be Ninjas.
Here.

Why couldn't Batman take power character slots? What's the difference of him having 8 gadget slots or 6 gadget slots and 2 power slots? If Lex is in he's probably gadget user, as are many other non-Batman characters.

Yea Baraka isn't there any more than Cyrax is there, but for some reason I'm having very copy&paste attitude with this game.

Anyway my main issue is that I hate Harley and Solomon, so there are 0 Batman villains I'd use. Catwoman is half-villain and Joker is way overrated IMO so I'd really wish there were proper villains I like.
Riddler/Two-Face
Bane/Mr Freeze
Poison Ivy/Penguin
Scarecrow/Killer Croc
Riddler/Bane
Poison Ivy/Mr Freeze
Killer Croc/Two-Face
Penguin/Riddler etc.

A bit underwhelming reveal, but I'm not one to complain about more Batman. Now I got my potential main team of Nightwing and Catwoman so next I hope my secondary team of villains from pool of Penguin/Riddler/Bane/Two-Face/Scarecrow/Poison Ivy/Mr Freeze/Killer Croc/Ra's comes true. Catwoman's whip, claws and agility look great. Too bad I still can't shed the resemblance to MK, half the time I was thinking of Baraka or Krueger when watching that reveal trailer. I just hope Catwoman's claws aren't as broken with invisible reach.

Besides comparing MK Ninjas with Batman characters isn't fair. All the ninjas look quite alike and even play somewhat similiarily. You can't say that Mr Freeze and Killer Croc would be remotely similiar.

Baraka? How does a sexy dominatrix vixen remind you of a demon-sewage creature hybrid?

and you're asking for Penguin in a fighting game. Give yourself a second to think about that... Now how would that work exactly? I sincerely want to know. Or are you just trying to what the internet might call, rustle jimmies?

I wasn't comparing the two. I was only saying I don't want the roster to be entirely made up of Batman for injustice anymore then I want mk10 to be entirely made up of Ninjas.

Because, if he has the majority of the gadget characters why not save the power character slots for actual power characters.

Never was it said that Batman would have all gadget characters, Flash is already one of them. And if they have another Batman character, I'd love like Killer Croc. (with a tail) Clawing, grabbing with his tail, biting, diving into the ground and stuff.

Huh? The Flash isn't a gadget character and neither is Cyborg. Batman has all gadget characters except for Grundy at the moment...

Boon described 2 characters, a "Gadget Character" and a "Power Character". Its one or the other.
Flash is a gadget babe.

Nope Flash is a power character. Because he uses "Super Powers." To be a gadget character you'd have to use "Gadgets."

Boon meant "Power" as in Able to pick up cars and shit that Gadget Characters can't do..

Can Flash pick up a car? No, then he's a Gadget character.

You drew similarities between the two scenarios (more Batman characters and MK ninjas), that's the same thing as comparing them

The "Think of it this way" part of your statement is basically like saying "It would be like"

You have no real reason to even be concerned, anyway, there's no way that the roster's actually going to be "all Batman" or just mostly Batman characters even if there are quite a few of them in there

Exactly as Vital said.
And you already contradicted yourself in this statement with this one:

Huh? The Flash isn't a gadget character and neither is Cyborg.

Cyborg doesn't have powers, he's a guy with robotic parts (aka gadgets) but you just said he isn't classified as a gadget character (rightfully so, he picks up cars). Which would mean you are saying he is a power character, but he doesn't have powers Ames. So which is it?

Boon meant "Power" as in Able to pick up cars and shit that Gadget Characters can't do..

Can Flash pick up a car? No, then he's a Gadget character.

That makes little sense considering every gadget character that has been shown has used gadgets and every power character has had superpowers?

I'm going to be straight up honest...

The whole dividing characters by Power/Gadget is pretty Dumb.. Yea, you're going to have a few characters that use "Gadgets" But are more than likely able to pick up cars.. Example, Lex Luthor.. Would you consider him Gadget because of the Bionic suit? Or Power because he can pick up cars.. Yet he has no Super powers. So it could go either way..

Then you have characters like Flash, Who has super powers and No gadgets? So we don't truly know where he stands.

You're taking the Gadget character thing too literally, AMES

It's just a way of saying that those type of characters, unlike the Power characters, use other means to interact with the environment than just their own brute strength

No I'm not. lol

let's look at it.
Power characters - Superpowers
Superman
Wonder Woman
Grundy
Cyborg
Flash

Gadget characters - Use gadgets
Batman
Nightwing
Catwoman
Harley Quinn

So you're telling me the only thing that can classify a character as a power or gadget character is whether or not they can pick up a car?

I classify Lex as a Gadget character and Cyborg as power character, because Lex uses his suit and don't need it. As where Cyborg is his suit and can't remove it. So without the suit there is no Victor. But without his suit Lex is still Lex.

AMES, you ARE taking it too literally. Sure, going by the general meaning itself power and gadget characters can be classified as you said, but Ed classified them as those who can pick up cars vs those who are agile and thats what matters and should be taken into consideration.

Power characters interact with the environment in ways that utilize their power.
Gadget characters interact with the environment in ways that utilize their cunning.

You know, the environment, the major emphasis of this title's gameplay.

Then that's beyond stupid... Because of the way they have it divided. So then are they saying Wonder Woman or Superman aren't quick and agile when they both are?

That way of categorizing characters is terrible.

Lol you are taking things too literally yet again. The division was a general one, to broadly divide characters into categories mainly for ease in communicating when you are referring to a particular group of characters. We all know that no two characters revealed so far play similar to each other, so trying to divide characters is actually redundant but necessary when trying to convey general ideas.

Basically Ed made the division based on how differently characters interact with the environment and just called them 'power' and 'gadget' characters for namesake. They could be given any names or titles but the basis of differentiation is what everyone is talking about and not the word meanings.

I'mma be honest that makes no sense to me.

Are my posts invisible?

Characters are divided by how they use the environment, not their backstory ya goshdarn DC fraud.
