I need help connecting my PS4 to the Internet

I've been trying to connect my ps4 to the net since "black thursday" with no luck. I keep getting error code NW-31456-9 which states that the servers are down which doesn't make sense because this doesn't seem to be a widespread problem, so I don't know what's going on.

Can anyone help?

Yeah, I know about Lizard Squad but I don't think their the cause of my problem. I had this system for nearly a month and haven't been able to log on once.

They are just hacking and turning off servers for now and locking Sony and Microsoft out. For now it just seems like a troll hack but you never know how far they plan on taking it

Sony locked it down - if you were not on the server before the attack, you will have to wait. see if you can download the updated firmware on the Sony web page and update the ps4 via USB device. It worked for a few people even when they just reinstalled the same Firmware

I was able to DL the latest update through PS4's rest mode.

I have a feeling this lizard squad thing doesn't pertain to my situation. Anyone else having login problems for as long as I have?

Most recently, my sign in screen hasn't been loading up at all. I get stuck at the please wait screen then it fails to connect.

I got on as soon as the lizard squad Twitter said the attacks have stopped and it worked

My s#%t still ain't working. My PS3 and every other device in my house easily connects to the Internet. For some reason the PS4 isn't compatible with my network setup. WTF is going on?

Not really. One of my coworkers owns a PS4. He's helping me solve this problem. No luck so far though(obviously).
