Guess which Characters get Storymode Chapters!

Wow, just looked back at MK9 storymode and we didn't get to play the bad guys at all 0_o

So with that in mind

1. Cassie Cage
2. Jaquie Briggs
3. Kung Lao
4. Sub Zero
5. Raiden
6. Kung Jin
7. Scorpion
8. Kitana
9. Kotal Kahn (because I think Kotal and therefore his crew are nuetral and at one point will work with the good guys)
10. D'Vorah
11. Ferra Torr
12. Takeda
13 - 16? ?

Seeing how most MK games take place right after the last game then I would imagine the story mode for MKX will take place right after MK9 ended. I guess chapter 1 will likely focus on Johnny Cage or Sonya since those two are the only ones that didn't die in MK9.

Yeah, they did say the story starts right after MK9 ended. But I think after the NRW it'll jump straight to year 25, and during that we will get some flashbacks to years 10, 15, 20. The reason for that is that they said most of the story is gonna be set in year 25, and that the story would jump around, both forward and backwards in time.

I really want them to come up with some better way to structure the story mode instead of the chapters, because of the many problems people have said, how we don't get to fight as the nad guys and all those stupid fights like Jax vs JC. But I understand how it might be difficult.

So, if they do keep the chapter structure, I hope there's more chapters and less fight in each of them, like 3 most of the time. It would give us more character variety, and less good guys fighting for stupid reasons.

In any case, I trust NRS to deliver us a great experience. They're already doing a great job in every other department. Also, I think the story mode in Injustice was handled way better than in MK9.

I'm having the same impression.

I think we will start on 25, but to explain some things, we will have to play some chapters in the past.

For exemple, Takeda fighting with Hanzo to explain something.

Defeating Shinnok to explain The Amulet.

I mean, when you have the need to go back, you experience what happened, then comes back.
 
If Sonya and Johnny are on the roster then I can see them getting their own story mode chapter at the start of the game if MKX takes place right after MK9.
 
I'd rather not see character chapters and just see the story play out fight by fight. Probably won't be the case, though.

I'm being ignored when i'm being gentle and kind, so evil is my way.

And i'm happy with many characters, just not the boring ones, like the one in you avatar. Too bad such boring excuses of characters get more love than the characters that are actually interesting.

And i'm more than happy and gentle in my real life, just not to humans.

The perfect storymode = with random tarkatans, ninja's, cyber-ninja's, monks and other NPC's that can be killed off without anyone caring, so you can play the badguys too, just let the goodguys escape after losing, bad guys escape too right.. and not ALL bad guys want to kill off anyone.

Like in MK9, Johnny beats Reptile and Baraka, he should have battled Random-Outworld-guy and random tarkatan in those fights, not famous characters that pretty much look weak the instant they were used.

AND i'm still against chapters, in that way you force upon us the boring JOhnny Cage vs Jax fights because they said bad things to each other... how utterly boring and stupid.

No, i'd rather see Jax die a horrible, slow and painful death in the storymode without him spoiling, destroying, wasting, corrupting or taking a spot in the roster. Better than his MK9 look they can't make him anyway, so like Sindel they can use his old costume.

Who's Jacqui's mother anyway? Must be a white woman, as Jacqui isn't entirely brown like Jax. I bet she will be a playable Blonde Special Forces lady with guns too.
 
Yeah I'm also sick of bland special forces good guys.

To think we may have 5+ in the game is just sad. (I think Takeda and Kung Jin could be pretty rad tho and differentiate themselves).

Johnny Cage (probably off-shoot, but that is kinda the same to me)

Don't be silly, Jax can't die! He will just get resurrected with the sole objective of preventing Tanya, Reiko, Havik, Fujin, and any other fan favorite char you have from making the roster. You should know better!:proud:

I'm just sure she will be another blonde bimbo from Special Forces and she will be probably playable along with cas and son to add more blonde militairy women to the mix, because well on MKOnline, FerraTorr and Kunglaodoesntsuck say that there are more than enough Ninja's and that we need more blonde militairy women. Of course they are NRS slaves, duh.

And no, Jax can't die, he's probably one of Ed Boon's favorites...
 
How long before the game comes out are the achievement lists usually revealed/leaked? That might give us a chance through achievement names or the pics or even just descriptions to show who each chapter belongs too.
