GTTV to reveal new character next week

noobde:Love "The Bonus Round" on GTTV, this week they were reviewing the big games of 2011. Zero mention of MK. We'll show you @geoffkeighley !

Unfortunatly my interpretation of this was something along these lines: "Sorry Ed, we just dont think its going to be that big of a game but Ill gladly take the ratings increase for a character reveal."

My impression is that Geoff Keighley is that type of douche after seeing his interview with Angry Joe.

I agree. The next character to get a formal reveal will be Baraka. He's a fairly iconic character for the MK franchise and his absence, thus far, is suspicious. Considering it will be on GTTV, I think they will want a more recognizable and widely known character to use as a reveal.

Pretty much what I was thinking. "We can't name them all" and then a smiley face just seems like his typical douchey excuses and copouts to avoid looking like a fool. Here they are giving GT a 2nd exclusive character reveal, and yet they couldn't even hype MK as one of the biggest games of the year. You know damn well MvC3 would have probably fallen on that list. Geoff Keighley = Tool.

I expect the character to be either Kabal or Baraka.

From a content standpoint, it'd be best to reveal someone like Baraka. I mean, we know he's in the game but we know absolutely NOTHING about him. We haven't even actually seen him. It'd be a good way to reveal a new character without having to reveal a new character.

Or Shang Tsung they revealed him in that Liu Kang video but i feel they might save him for last because he is considered a boss character

I've never met him so I won't speak ill of him, but in my personal experience in the industry, anyone who says something condescending and punctuates it with a smiley is more of a politician than journalist.

Well yeah, basically. To keep the revelation of content down, any character who has been "off to the side" confirmed is fair game to actually be properly confirmed.

Sure, we still have Smoke, Kabal, Sheeva, and Quan Chi to confirm, but they could just as easily confirm Stryker, Baraka, Shang, or even Kano.
 
Its gonna be either baraka or kabal. Noob has just been revealed, i dont think they would follow him up with another ninja reveal.
