Good Private Messages

I hate the "GG" thing, the guy makes me stop playing, press the PS button and search for the message just for 2 characters lol I prefer them sending me hatemail, is a good and long read for lols

I will occasionally get hate messages, just for using Scorpion, even though I don't spam him or use him that much. But when I use someone else I don't get anything.
 
This one guy said i got a sick Kabal obviously since he sent me a good message i sent him one back...Because friendship is magic.
 
^ Hahaha friendship is magic. I always give props to great players via a pm. Its nice to hear a compliment every now and again ya know.
 
Whether I win or lose I always send them "Good match" unless they spam or something. If they do really well then I'll acknowledge specific things like their good combos. But in the 1100+ matches I've played I've only received ONE good private message that was sent FIRST....not a reply.

I beat him with my Mileena when I used to play this game day and night and he sent me "Woah dude that crazy teeth chick you use is INSANE! I couldn't move without getting comboed! You're awesome at this game!"

As for hate mail I've only received one as well and he was angry because "My Mileena combos were not good enough" so apparently I was a noob even though I beat him.

Otherwise it's the match, I win or lose, I send good game, they send back "You too. Thx." That's about it
 
I have gotten a few messages about my Sonya being awesome.

Makes me feel good because I am trying so hard to be great with her. These people are adding me to their friend list so that is cool, too <3
 
the name of the message reads gg's, there's nothing in the writing part.. what part of the match was "great" was it when the opponent almost won, how about the combos were they great, did you like my outfit?, what about the match was great

Sending a "GG" after you demolish someone can be seen as being an insult. That being said I only send GGs if it was actually a GG.

Had a very good debate with someone that didn't start out as a "debate", ended up adding the guy as a friend. I like when ppl respond good when I send logical and friendly posts back from their hatemail.
 
Got a gg today from a good Kenshi player (I won but it is nice to see not everyone is salty about it)
 
I usually say the player is beast with the currently used character if he gave me a hard time or even won. And I say in full it was a good game... some peeps just don't understand "gg" and take it as an insult idd, so my mess are pretty clear. Never send negative messages though, waste of time and you'll expose yourself taking the loss extremely bad and is prolly makin' the other one grin, unless he/she feels the urge to reply with psychotic rage like 70% of teenage MK players.
 
This happened the other day online....

Me: (Picks Stryker)

Opponent: (Picks Ermac)

Round 1.....Fight!!

Opponent: (Turtle turtle spam spam turtle turtle Ermac spam)

Me: (Counter's with good stryker combos and wins)

Play again?

Opponent: No

Me: (Receives message saying...) **** YOU! YOU SUCK D**K P***Y!
(I laugh) (Sends back) You're mad cause I whooped your spamming and blocking abusing Ermac with Stryker and Stryker is a rare character to see. I didnt spam and I pulled off good combos.

Opponent: ........**** you. You're right

Me: That's what I thought
 
Around the time that skarlet came out I ran into this quan chi player. I was messing around with her and he beat me fairly bad. I got a few combos off but couldn't seem to get much more.

Needless to say i was pretty frustrated, cussing up a storm and such (with mike off). I was about to hit the no for rematch when all of a sudden the guy gets on his mike and says I had a good skarlet and he hasn't seen a good skarlet before. As soon as I hear this I realize that its just a game and I put on my mike to talk to him.

Turns out we have a ton in common, same hobbies and such and are actually pretty even matched MK players. He even helped me out with a website issue and I still spar with him often and he's become a good xbox live friend. Its one of the few moments that remind me that there some actual mature adults on this game.

...Also it teaches me to calm down a little when I loose. I always have this image of my opponent being some jerky little brat and I think that mindset of my opponent always makes me angrier when I loose lol (especially in a cheap way). I have to remember that sometimes the guy on the other end is probably just haning out like me, and looking for a good match.
 
Today, I beat this guy with my day 1 Noob and I remember one game where he had like 3 percent of his health and he just stopped trying so I killed him. He then sends me a message saying "Learn more than 2 moves dumbass" So i sent him a message telling him to learn the matchup instead of complaining about how I was playing (I wasn't playing a super lame Noob.) I beat him again, and a couple minutes later he told me to suck my mom's penis (I think this is an apparent giveaway about this guy's general age) so I sent him a message telling him that it was just a game and that he'll get better one day

I loved and tolerated the SHIT outta that guy!
 
I always send out GG messages on xbl. If we make a casuals only KOTH room and a lifer joins it and ruins our fun, I'll send that bastid a message telling him he might be in the wrong room. Other than that it's GG win or lose.

That's how i work when i get hate, just take it and send back kindness. I have been getting alot more hate as of late, one specific guy in a KOTH match kept sending me hate mail during a match i was in, I lost the match. He proceeded to send more hate mail then he fought and spammed the hell outta the next people in line, I ended up fighting him after about 4 people. I beat him with my main Kitana, he sent me more hate. The only thing i sent to him back was after i beat him was "hey man hope you have a good one and hope that Teli Uppercuts work better for you in the future :)" it was kinda snarky for my taste, but man my inbox took like 10 min to clear lol
 
I'll occasionally get a "GG". I was playing SSF4 a few months back, and had an El Fuerte beat my Dhalsim and the guy PMed me to commend my using Dhalsim.

I've never gotten a bad PM...which suits me just fine because it tells me the people I'm playing against are mostly just playing for fun and aren't taking a video game way too seriously.
