You're lucky that Superman's trait doesn't last as long as the Regime final boss version, plus a major increase on damage as well. Usually, the gameplay and style must rely on the bio and storyline to determine if it can happen or not and utilize by us players.

Story should never be considered for gameplay.

If it did

Scorpion v Martian Manhunter would be 10-0 in favor of Scorps because of fire
Nearly all supers would be fatal
Killer Frost wouldn't be able to freeze Killer Frost
Grundy would have 11 health bars
Deathstroke's bullets wouldn't hurt Superman
Flash's Trait would last the entire match unless against Superman

And a whole bunch of other shit that nobody wants. It doesn't and shouldn't matter what they can do in story mode, because the story isn't balanced.
 
What I think Bane needs to be (more) viable:


*Raging charge cancel via QCB motion

*Full projectile invincibility during lvl 3 venom, not just during specials
*Air throw

*F1 is a useless move. Cannot be special, super or ExB3 canceled. I suggest make it unblockable. It wouldn't be too strong, it has little range, does poke damage and doesn't lead to anything afterwards. It would just be his secondary check button (First being d1)

*Ability to control where anti air throw makes opponent land

*Allow for Double Punch follow ups in corner

*Change properties of Ex Raging Charge. Ex version starts right away, doesn't have the rearing back animation just goes straight into charge. But no elbow drop follow up to compensate

Bane really is good the way he is.
 
Nothing I said was too drastic.
I've been using him since the first week of release, he needs a push to compete with the other characters
 
Imagine if I said that to you about Lex

Lex only needs a buff for his backdash and fix his 1,1 to hit mid instead of high. That's all. I wouldn't say give him invincibiity to projectiles or give him a corp charge cancel. Come on. Bane definitely is no Superman or Batman , but I'm just saying giving him all that would MAKE him another Superman and we don't need that.

I personally like the "low tier" characters anyway.
 
Ironic. I just faced Catwoman using Grundy. No offense to any Catwoman players out there, but I haven't seen one single player that can combo without first getting her Cat Dash into B3.
 
With the threat of walking corps, who in their right mind would rush in? A smart player would stuff the wake-up with an untechable knockdown into b12d3 or the f1 mix-up. Cat dash has armor, it's all she has to get in safe with.... even then, its far from safe on block. Grundy has to be string jailed the whole match or she's toast. For defense B2 is a great tool to beat walking corps because Grundy won't grab her out of it and she can cat dash combo out of it.
