General Injustice Gods Among Us Gameplay Chat

Wow, I honestly forgot about your guide. I'm sooooooo sorry Twin..

I'll look over it tonight, I'm going out in a few.

Don't take it personally, the guides aren't as much of a hit as the MK9 ones were.

I've been switching between characters lately trying to add another to my roster. Tried Lex.... his momentum kicks ass. But I feel like it's too much BS to get it going. I tried Martian Manhunter, but I feel like it's easy mode because he has a tool for everything.Tried a few others, no one was really getting me hard. I'm going to pick up Lobo for a while. I'm really liking his mid-screen antics. Just outside of sweep range is so fun with him.

Bane Tips

d1 Double Punch - d1, d1 double punch all day err day

Venom command grab all the wakeups and techrolls

Body Splash crossup shenanigans (I made a video for it long ago because I am the shit)

Bnb Body Splash, b2, 3xxVenom lvl 2 ~ 1, 2, 3xxCommand Grab

Never go full Venom unless it's for needed damage/projectile invincibility/armor breaking

Bane doesn't rely on meter, so if you have super and don't need to clash, end your bnb with dat YYYEEEAAAAHHHHH

NEVER fullscreen shoulder rush

Throw a lot

Understand that most of your strings are safe

Anti air throw every jump in for the fear

Vs Zoners be very patient, but don't take too long. Do what works and don't be bold. When you get in, bait the wakeups and stay in that ass. Done correctly and your godlike damage output > their chip damage

I thought Bane was pretty damn boring when the game first came out. But I use him here and there and he can be pretty satisfying. I can win with him if I play smart. I usually just use him against friends and like to YOLO Lv3 supers for the lulz. Straight up Lv3 all day because none fcks given. Sometimes I just try to stay in venom as long as possible, not sure if that's a good tactic or not. I guess it depends how the match is going.

but

I really wish there were a lot more players that actually wanted to learn the game, instead of just trying to be the biggest a-hole that they can be. I was in a great Survivor room with a few of my friends last night. But of course there is always going to be the randoms that join that all they want to do is spam Dickstroker or play mindlessly with any other character. I don't see how someone can be lv83 and still be doing that. How is that even fun? These people are like cancer to fighting games. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I can take a character and learn the ins and outs to use them effectively.

Quick Zatanna combo

ji2, b2, 1xxEx Lightning Legs ~ b3 ~ dash forward, d2 ~ ji3 ~ f2, 1xxCard Toss

1 bar 39%

Still working on fireball setups

Front dash isn't that bad but her back dash is terrible. However, her teleports are all that and a bag of chips. I can't get her air teleports to work though.

Overall, she isn't as hard to learn as I initially thought. She just requires proper execution because a lot of her stuff is unsafe if used incorrectly. I will definitely be putting time into her. She's a fun character to use.

Gunna Hit confirm that 800 MS point purchase and combo into Download. :mullet:

Thanks for the insight, broham. What about Mix-up potential? What are her go to Overheads and lows?

b2, 1 is an overhead/low string. Without meter, you aren't going to get anything big out of it. But with meter you can Ex Lighting Legs for the popup

Not bad, I have to look at her Frame data too. Since Known said most of her stuff is unsafe, if it's not used correctly.

Is it easy to Hit confirm that B2,1 xx Lighting legs?

I think so.

Her b1(low) isn't bad either but it's kinda slow. You can teleport cancel of out both strings if blocked.

So there's no risk? Lol, My type of character.

Every character has Universal normals, which is kinda gay IMO. B1 is usually everyone's low, and B2 is everyone's overhead. But like in MK9, Not everyone had a B1 or a F2 starting string which made every character unique in there own little way, but that's another topic and I'll leave it alone.

Yeah you've got a pretty good window. Need to be quick about it though

Thank God, and I can't find her frame Data anywhere

I'm OCD about frame data now, even if I'm playing online.

Overall, she looks fun to play around with. I kinda have to get over the Magic puns because they're abysmal, and cheesy characters are lame.

b2, 1 = 16 Startup ~ +9 hit ~ -11 block ~ 26 recover

Lighting Legs = 13 Su ~ +16 hit ~ -8 block ~ 24 Rec.
Ex = 12 Su ~ +73 hit ~ -3 block ~ 34 Rec.

From the move list. What else you want to know from the list?

That's enough. I'll just wait until Tim Static drops his Move list on TYM.

But that B2,1 is iffy though.. -11 on Block? A hand full of the cast can punish that shit, but Known said it's cancel able into Teleport so she's safe, right? And so you have a 9 Frame window to Hit confirm into Legs, which isn't bad, but not amazing either.

I don't know what to think about Legs and EX Legs from reading that, because Technically, She's "Safe" because it's -8 and the fastest Punisher in the game is 6 Frames (Corpse charge) but at the same time, some characters have Strings that start up in 8 Frames so does that make her unsafe?

I know that Catwoman's 1,1,2 strings starts up in 8 frames.

@iVital

Teleport canceling isn't not completely safe. Some characters can punish it. Theoretically, a large portion of the cast can't. I'm still trying to figure it out :)
