Frost (DLC) Thread - "Could Frost merely be hibernating?"

I'm a big fan of Sub-Zero and have been playing with him from the get-go. I don't like the fact that he only has four specials and one of them blows, lol. However, I also know he's a very strong character already. If he were given another useful move it would prolly be too much, he'd be unbalanced. Another special would be cool, but gameplay problems would arise.
 
i hope the creators don't listen to this, because this game is pretty much focused on the story aspect, so they will only add characters that make sense at this time. Frost doesn't. no matter how much you want to play with her, if she simply doesn't make sense within the story line, she should NOT be DLC.

side note- i like Demetrius's idea of the breath freeze, but i also like her original ground freeze, cuz it was a bi+ch to block

She is actually in the Story Mode, albeit very briefly.

Actually Frost could make actually good sense being in a future MK. Since she was the protege of Sub Zero and the only other one able to wield cold powers, she could fill the void in the Lin Kuei. For those of us that saw Sub Zeros outcome in the this game you could get what I mean.
 
IMO Frost could fit the storyline. Also, there is that whole sareena, jataaka and whateverhernameis story thing with quan chi, (yes i know i have the spelling wrong). I Still think its best to leave her for the next game and make her a main-ish character. If some evil characters are now good and some good are bad, then maybe she'll be good this time. (not that she was evil, she just wanted power)

Thats not true, people says that is the same char because is sub-zero in other form, but if CSZ would be exactly like he is now in moves and look but his name would be other i dont know... "Ice Cream", people would say "wow a totally new ice character". He is a totally different character already, despites his name and origin. CSZ will never be SZ, is not the same.
 
Yes they are.

From a STORY standpoint, they are BOTH Bi-Han's younger brother.

From a GAMEPLAY standpoint they play like two totally different people.

CSZ is basically a what-if take on Bi Han's little bro. They are the SAME PERSON.
 
I'd like to have Frost, but then again i wouldn't. i'm more interested in having more original characters as DLC, other than that I just want more and more costumes from various MK games.

Which is why I hate him. They should have done to Cyber Sub-crap what they did to Sektor and Cyrax: only an alternate to Sub-Zero. I'd have liked it much more. Instead, he's so original, that pretty much stole moves and animations from Cyrax. No thanks...

Id love to have every former costume available so anyone can play with the costume they prefer (having them as secrets/unlockables would be good).

They could go and add a whole lot of for characters as DLC, but id prefer them to leave it story specific with maybe only a couple of DLC available.

Frost could fit well into the storyline that has been created and leaving her for the next game would prevent 'overkill'.

With the next game seeming to start from where MK4 story began, all post mk4 characters could return (even the crap ones) id like to see frost return and half of those post MK4 characters but also blood some new characters.

We'll have to wait and see as to whether they head straight into the next storyline or do another MKSM style game.
 
Who cares about 2 freezing fighters already? No one picks Cyber Sub anyways. I've fought well over 700 online matches and have only run into a handful of them. We need more female ninjas! Aside from Skarlet lol

So adding a third freeze-based fighter is overkill, but adding a fifth female ninja isn't? Not saying we necessarily need Frost, just saying that I actually like playing as both Sub-Zero and Cyber Sub-Zero. I care. Another female ninja? Eh, I wouldn't complain if they do it well, but they're nowhere near the top of my priority list. Give us either pre-existing characters who have a lot of support or new characters who bring plenty to the table that we don't get elsewhere.
