Do the characters still have some of the same inputs for combos?

From what I could tell. No. They don't.

Your condescending attitude is really getting old, man. You can't harp on people for wanting to see the game go in a direction that we were told it was going. Again, we are all fans of the series, you're not exactly helping by going around and shitting on people.

Instead of crashed planes they could use something like After Judgment Day (not Terminator, bible) style, you know "Hell on Earth", like in Constantine with Keanu Reaves when he travells into Hell and see the whole town in fire and demons living there, not simple "oh, this city should look like after the usual war"

The thing is : earth was saved after MK9 and judging by the look of the characters and the 25 year timeline it looks as though they'll have some time to recover, so that look doesn't really work. Don't get me wrong though, having a stage like that would be really cool. Looks awesome

We have 11 kharacters konfirmed. ELEVEN. Allegedly it's less than half of the roster. Ed said he couldn't understand how and why fans are jumping to conclusions and neither can I.

Kung Lao was the FGC's favorite so he's back - or is he? We don't know who he is exactly. John Edwards, Lead Designer at NRS, said at E3 that he would like a summon Kitana button that's how big a fan he is. And we still have 13 spots on the roster. I don't think half of the roster will be new, yes, they hinted at probably the most newcomers but early reactions were mixed at best when they presented the game at E3. So expect about 10 new kombatants. That means half of the 13 unannounced kombatants.

And when and where exactly did they say we will reveal all the new faces by the time January ends. They never said anything like that. Probably all the stages will be new, Online Mode will be new, we'll get a brand new Story Mode which again allegedly won't follow any of the 3D era's storyline but will be a brand new one. And we can easily get 6-7 new kombatants out of the remaining 13. I'm still wondering how can so many of you be sure about a lot of things based on half informations at best.

Sometimes I have the feeling that even Sub-Zero couldn't chill y'all.

If they trully just skip the whole Netherealm plot, they miss on a big opportunity, they could create a huge buzz all around them, by using bible and it's "what if Judgment Day happens" scenario, adding there angels/fallen angels/demons, sins and paybacks, Heaven and Hell, the Holy War and all this stuff, using MK characters for this of course. Shinnok as Hell's owner, Quan Chi as his right hand who turned "good guys" into his army of demons, Noob Saibot and Liu Kang as the guys who turned into demons by their own will etc

- couple of MK4-MKD characters revealed
- couple new newcomers revealed
- no more resurrections. Enough with this sh*t.

I miss the days where we could debate diplomatically. But let someone expression a simple opinion of why they feel certain characters' return could really mess up their enjoyment, and everyone loses their minds. I've seen sides of a majority of users that I never saw before. And all of the ghost users have suddenly come out as well.

Can't we all just get along and have these debates ONE problem at a time?

As others have said. They just want to see something from the changes we were told about. I get where everyone complaining is coming from. The last reveal should have definitely been a new character. Not only that, we've been having to wait months in between reveals. This last one was pretty much a 3 month dry period. So you have to at least understand the frustration from people who want something new from MK.

Agreed. That would be cool. But I wouldn't get my hopes up for that. NRS hasn't really dealt with the whole biblical heaven/hell thing. I don't think they're going to start. A lot of people probably wouldn't like it either.

Yeah the infractions were so goofy that Pat had to get rid of the Reputation system. I loved the rep system, it separated the idiots from the enlightened lol.

Seriously though, it kinda is better now because people have no choice but to deal with shit themselves and not threaten to report a poster over the smallest thing. That shit was rampant during the lead up to MK9.

I don't think it did separate idiots from the enlightened. I received death threats and the lot with the old rep system. Folk threatening to bad rep people etc, repping for reppings sake. No need for the negative element when you can just use the thanks system, which is effectively the same idea.

True, but with the Rep system you could actually see who was a good poster and who was stupid. The people that gave the unnecessary neg rep/death threats 99% of the time had a skull or two under their name.

No. Which essentially was the problem because douche posters would actively neg rep people for the fun of it. Too many people were complaining about that, so Pat said enough is enough and abolished the system.

However, the posters who legitimately deserved neg rep usually accumulated so much that there would be a skull under their username which pretty much meant "shitty user".

It fits here as well (though the situation here isn't near what Je Suis Charlie is about), because it's about the freedom of speech. People have he right to complain and have the right to disagree with something, and it's okay that they do. It might be extremely annoying and you might feel defensive about what they're complaining about, because you like the matter it is about, but telling them to shut up and be grateful is extremely ignorant of you to do.

That said... there are indeed some people who are indeed whining, and because they aren't getting their way, they are trying to make it miserable for everyone else as well. That's not okay! And that's what needs to stop.

There's a difference in complaining and disagreeing on something, and those who are whining. Learn the difference.

People didn't have favorites in mk9 so they want to see brand new characters or post mk3 characters so they can have a character they are good with.

You (IN GENERAL)want to see someone else you might be good with cause you probably weren't good with anyone else in the previous mk

Just in case you need a bit of help with reading comprehension : in this post you are insulting someone else's opinion by saying that they are garbage at MK9 and completely disregarding pages of discussion as to why the people who are upset feel that way.

Pretty much at this point the only way I am going to enjoy this roster is if every reveal after this is only brand new characters and post UMK3 characters

I will enjoy MKX, regardless, but yeah I agree that I also want some MK4 thru MK and some brand new characters too, and this constant stream of MK9 reveals (ever since Raiden) in MKX is disappointing to me.
I'm losing faith in ever seeing any new or MK4 thru MK characters being revealed before the game comes out.
Takeda is about the only one I'm hyped for, but even then Kittlesen said that not all characters in the comics will be in the game, so I'm not 100% sold on him being in, just yet.

Because it seems that you think that people are annoyed that KL and Kitana are back because they weren't "good with them" in MK9, when it goes far beyond that.

Ed Boon said that SOME MK4-D characters will make it in. As in 3 or something. My money is on Shinnok, Tanya, Quan, and Fujin.
