Final Big Boss Guess - **POSSIBLE SPOLIER**

If Shinnok reaches the Jinsei, what if two of his variations, since one is used in game, are just for us to play and he has a FOURTH variation exclusively for being boss (and that would be technically an "unplayable boss")?

Because none of his other two variations give me the feel of BOSS, while the first is more of a MK4 inspired, which combines with the time.


Obs.: Isn't the vocies on this game eargasmic? "YOU'LL NOT TOUCH THE JINSEI!" :laugh:
 
Didn't Ed Boon say that he is a surprise returning character? Who can say that Shinnok is a surprise boss character? He is one of the most recognizable and predictable bosses in mk universe.

It's indeed 'safe' to assume that Shinnok is the boss, but I've never thought he would be, and I still don't.

Agreed 100%.
While Shinnok is a great candidate for "Boss" character, Shinnok doesn't come off as a "surprise return character" to me, either.
With the MK9 ending, it was like Shinnok was saying "Hey, guys." "Here I am." "I'll see you in the next game."
 
I don't doubt he is the boss, I just don't have konfirmation, but evidence has been pointing to a secure guess of him being the one.

That "surprise" thing is the only thing that keep us from saying he is the boss.
 
It's hard to think who it could be. On one hand I can see reasons for it being someone like Reiko or Havik... but at the same time, it's been so long since we've seen them that I reckon most people would be like "oh who's that?" Also I just can't imagine someone like Reiko as a boss. He just doesn't give me that oomph. Also with Havik. They just seem like such random picks for the Ultimate boss.

As for Shinnok, I can see him as a boss but I agree with Commander in regards to the end of MK 9, you'd expect him to be the boss of MK x, so there would be no surprise
 
I really think the concept of what NRS considers a "surprise" is different from our own. It's been said before but during the MK9 pre-launch period Ed spoke about a character being automated who wasn't before, and his tone implied that it was supposed to be a secret, but really was it going to be anyone other than Sub Zero?

I don't personally want Shinnok as a boss but it is definitely in the realm of possibility. Unless NRS decides to actually throw a plot twist our way, the final boss is probably very predictable.
 
I would have had no problem Shinnok being the Boss, but how lame would that be: you beat him in the 1st Chapter and he's back for the finale again? The Shao Kahn armor points to Reiko instead, he has the obsession with Shao's legacy.
 
Daegon - Demigod and Red Dragon's leader.
Havik - Chaotic worshipper, knew Kamidogus' true purpose. He can control people as bloodlust demons.
Reiko - Outworld general and enemy of Kotal's. Also he has some similarities to Shao Kahn.

My predict - He will become Shao Kahn's new body by Quan Chi or Shinnok.
 
Fingers crossed for a super powered, sinisterly possessed Reiko as the blood god with hammers made out of the blood of fallen warriors!

I'm not particularly a great fan of Reiko, but I'd much rather have that than the Shinnok we've been shown so far. He looks like a fun character (even with his stupid skeletal arms) but I don't see him as boss material (at least in his playable form).

Say what you want about Shinnok but that X-Ray means there is a true pimp slap in Mortal Kombat...finally!

See the select screen?

The 4 characters on the top right are related to the 4 characters on the top left. Kitana VS Mileena and Sub Zero VS Scorpion conclude the top row. The bottom row are allies so to speak. Cage/Raiden, Shinnok/Goro, Kano/Quan Chi and so forth...

So that means that Kotal Kahn (on the bottom) is the opposite or the rival of the question mark (final boss) which is located on the top.. Any guesses?

I'm leaning towards Shujinko/Havik/Noob Saibot as the final boss...

All 3 are great. But I think Daegon is the most powerful and intimidating.
I'd be happy with any of these as supreme ruler who kills those sissy Earthrealmers and their mumbling Thunder God :)
