Attacking is rather a harsh word, don't you think? I call it joking around, man. Isn't that allowed? And it amazes me how you tell me off for what amounts to nothing. Yet, when I try and post constructively, which is most of the time, you don't care. I can point out many instances where I was trying to help certain members with things, and I get told off, and called names over it. Yet you say or do nothing about it. Personally, it doesn't bother me. But it's the same principle as here. If 7th had called me names and was messing around, then believe it or not, I would laugh at it.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble here, dude. So for the sake of our sanity, I will post no further silly comments in this thread.

i think my record is 170/190 or something.

I haven't played in a few days because it just isn't any fun. the headsets have not been working and the fighting mechanics are just shoddy. the combos are lame, the fatalities are a disaster. the other competitors are total brats, quitters, babies, and disconnectors.

the sense of community or sense that you are even playing another person are totally nullified. You are better off just playing the AI because the two are nearly indistinguishable and you know that the AI isn't cheating.

i love it when you get knocked off by death trap and the kid doesn't give you a rematch.

sign me up for that kind of fun anytime<scarcasm>
 
You seem very angry. I think you've just been playing with the wrong people. I've only had 1 bad experience online when this one guy was kicking my ass and wouldn't say a word.

well i've played 300 some matches and that should be enough to get a general feeling for the online game.

I'm upset. The game is exploiting the Mortal Kombat brand for profit without providing a quality product. My loyalty to MK and my wallet have been exploited. Its a disgrace.

I haven't went online with MKA yet, and I won't be able to for a while. My recor in deception was like 1400 wins and 300 loses.
 
well i just went online tonight and got my ass handed to me again. I think the part that i need help with is defence. It seems like i cant block anything even if i hold down the block button. Yet the split second i try to do a combo on someone else its blocked. Im now 8-33. :( Kochal has made his debut...but it was not a good one.
 
That's too bad. Tell you what, I'll make him and bump his record up a bit! Seriously though he's just so cool I wanna make my own.
 
Well you know what? I have never completed a match in 15 seconds (or 30 for that matter) against any CPU above 35% diff. or ANYBODY online. Completing a match in 15 seconds means either nobody blocks or you're fighting an opponent who's just standing there.
 
now im 15 - 46...lol But damn, my KAF is pretty much useless. I dont know how others are so good with them. The longest combo my KAF has is 3 moves. It seems like whenever i try to do it...square, square, triangle....seems like i can press it over and over and it wont go. Not even the first punch sometimes. Im pretty sure all KAF have the same buttons and combos. Plus no matter who i am i swear i cant block. I can hold block and forward all day and sometimes the blocker wont even work. Maybe i just suck. LOL I hate these little KAF's though. They are so fast.... i might look into making a little jerk.
 
Well I had a similar record when I started playing it. I believe I was 8-19. But after rotating with Kabal, Noob, and my KAK, I managed to get a 73-51 record which is pretty good imo. The only problem I really have is that I waste my combo breakers for something light.
 
I suck too. i just got online last night. there are some KAKs that are just so fast. i just want to have fun with this, not get pnwd everytime. i have two KAKs modeled after some childhood cartoon characters. i go by noj on MKA online. (PS2)
 
there should be some kind of automatic structuring online to even out the playing field. like, you can only play with people in your same difficulty bracket, determined by your win/lose ratio. THat way you dont have people with 2 wins who just want to have a good time fighting unknowingly against someone with like 485 wins and 3 losses. Where's the fun in that? I hear they're going to have something like that with pokemon, now that it's going online. So they should do it with MK.

On PS2 you can see people's win/loss and rank in the lobby and the challenge screen. So you shouldn't be fighting anyone with an unknown record. Sometimes it seems the ranks are a little out of date, but chances are they haven't changed that much overnight.
 
I´m pretty bad too... 92/69... I could get better with learning few combos and stuff like that, but I´m too lazy to learn anything :D
