Cross MK Community Websites.

Hi there! I am from themortalkombat.com and noticed aldo's thred on MKO.Alot of us over at themortalkombat.com would love to enter the tournament.
 
You might want to post on MKU and TYM as well. The guys there would likely win against the more casual sites, but playing online should even things out a bit.

Depending on how well the game plays online, you may want to separate everyone by region (west coast against west coast, east coast against east coast, etc.). Assuming the net code is decent, I'll play in the 1v1 for TYM (if they're invited). I won't play in 2v2 though. I can't see any way NRS can make that play well, online, with four people.

Anyways, yeah, I'll be co-hosting from Kamidogu's part in this tournament of sorts. I've only co-hosted one other video game competition over a forum, so I'll be helping pop Mike's tourney cherry with this one. As Mike's already stated, we're not far along in development with this (just making sure we have positive responses before we devote a lot of time to this) - besides, this game doesn't come out for another 43 days. =P Any ideas/questions/concerns, you can contact Mike or myself (I am Gudnyte on Kamidogu, Mike is Mikemetroid on Kami) either here or there. I can't wait to see everyone online next month. ;)
 
Im going to create a poll online here, This will cover who will enter what console and what divison. Be sure to include your gamertag inside of your post after your vote.

You CAN enter more than one division of course. The more players each, the more fun.

I was thinking each website should have their own tournament(1v1 2v2) and divisons and the the best from each division goes against the other sites in big cross over tournament with divisons. Or the divisons from the same site have a tournmant to see who is the best to represite the site in the big crossover tournament

Well, I think those who have less of skill than others (according to people on the other sites) would like to face other people from other sites. I updated my previous post with the link to the poll, itl end in a week so I can start some planning on this.

So we are doing the winner of each divison go to the big tournament?
 
Hey guys, this is m0s3pH from MKO here. I will be coordinating all of MKO's in-house tournaments, ladders, and leagues/divisions once the game releases. I know that a number of the users at MKO will be willing to participate in something like this. If this gets off the ground, and I hope it does, I for one would like to see what options can be explored in terms of how organized we can get with something like this. I won't commit to playing in something like this at this time, however, because I'd rather know if it can be done smoothly first.
 
Were going to need judges to watch the match, to make sure no one uses any exploits (if there are any) and to prevent troublesome DISPUTES from occurring. the judge could Host the match as well, they'll need a good internet connection. the judges could state the laws of the land before the match, insuring both players know the "rules". the judge would also submit the outcome of the fight.

having a judge would be great because most disputes could be resolved on the spot by this third party. i know this would be hard to do because who the hell wants to be a judge but, i think this could work even if its only for the latter matches in a ladder.

BTW I would like to be a judge =D
