Now that you've changed your stance, I agree with you that $10 is a rip-off for a defective product. A patch is coming, though. Better than nothing.

As for the rest, well, two wrongs don't make a right. No matter what my opinion is of MKAK's advertising, it wouldn't justify getting the MK Arcade ROMs illegally and playing them on MAME.

Am now to the point where i don't think I'll bother, put money in my psn ready for release day but since that didn't happen i ended up buying other things, as every parent on the planet has said "I'm not angry, just disappointed" and most peeps have downloaded something illegally at some point or other. So am not gonna get on my high horse on it, and definitely agree that as far as what I've heard with all the problems this does fall into the false advertising category. Wonder how they get round it?

And how, exactly have I "changed my stance"?

And before you accuse me of piracy, I already have legal copies of MK1-UMK3 in their original arcade states; MKD Premium Pack, MAT2, North American MKSM, MKA PS2 Premium Edition, and the stand-alone MKII for PS3 (for those keeping track at home, that's one copy each of MK1, MK3, and UMK3, and THREE copies of MKII), so I am perfectly legal to possess the MAME roms of those games!

If you don't know the person, then don't presume what they are going to say. I wasn't going to accuse you of anything, since it wouldn't be my place to judge.

Allow me to clarify what I said earlier. I said "any price for a DEFECTIVE product" is considered a rip-off. The MAME versions are not defective, nor did I ever say they were. The MKAK versions are defective, and I clearly did say they were. Both messages were consistent with each other. So if you hadn't jumped to the faulty conclusion that I had changed my stance, then maybe I wouldn't have jumped to the conclusion that you were accusing me of piracy.

No need. It's taking this thread even further off topic.

The issue here is the missing EU PS3 version of MKAK, not MAME. People shouldn't be recommending to others that they should "go and play MAME," when, for one thing, it may not be easy, cheap, or legal to get the Arcade ROMs. We don't talk about how to find them in here for a very good reason.

Id say at this point the EU PSN version wont be out until the patch is ready. They've already taken a major beating over the quality of the initial US versions, so theyre not going to risk that again by releasing it for EU without the fixes in place.

nonsense its out on xbox my friend says. trust me if theres money to be made they will release it even when its broken. Its just EUs been screwed again for PS3

Then flood both Sony and WB's offices with hate mail, and be sure to include threats of a class action lawsuit for false advertising in each and every one of those hate letters (and even threaten to use WB's own press releases against them in the court of law while you're at it)!

sadly due to sony's new rules and regs I'm not sure if that counts as breaching terms and conditions!

Some of us PS3/PSN users posted a message on the official Playstation blog site for Europe after we got another update message for the PSN store and the official spokesperson said that they did not yet know when it would be released in Europe and that they would release it when it's released....

What kind of an answer is that?? LOL... (and that was after ignoring 50+ post about the matter...)

In other words, we'll see it when we see it.

SO the patch is coming within a few weeks (see MKAK Patch thread ) but is there any news on the Europe release? Will they release it at the same time?? Seems pretty logical....I guess :S

Before you two get another thread closed (again), Boon never "promised," as you put it, a release date... Unless "Hoping for" and "Shooting for" have replaced "promised" in the dictionary.

Wow this part of the forums is so quiet. lol let's just hope this so called patch comes out on Dec. 6th. I am still not happy it's taking this long OMG!
