Changes /Tweeks you would make from what we've already seen!

Notice, you can see several teeth fly off of the skull however, when looking at the jaw, the teeth are all perfectly fine, still sitting within the skull... There's also a lack of blood flying from the victims mouth, unlike the X-Ray attacks from the last game.

- The Fatalities are missing small details that were present in the last MK as well.

The body parts and insides during a Fatality in the last MK would have an animated texture applied to them, making the innards look fresh and wet with blood running down them. Unfortunately, this is not the case in MKX and to me, this takes away a lot of the feel of the body actually being a living being before the Fatality. It instead appears more like the victor just severed or split a mannequin or corpse into pieces.

Ferra/Torr Fatality
As you can see, the victim doesn't have that animated texture of the blood running down the freshly sliced innards. Yes, the heart is still pumping out blood but besides that the innards feel lifeless (excuse the pun).

I don't know why they've taken a step back with theses small details given the graphical fidelity the new generation consoles now allow them but I really hope they make it back into the final released version!

^Maybe the teeth issue is a work in progress, but overall the detail of MKX-rays and fatalities far surpasses MK9. Without question.

My post wasn't about the overall detail though now was it? It's about the finer details, the ones most people don't really care to notice, but I do, and I really appreciate NRS taking the time/money to implement them.

Of course the overall models and textures are more detailed, it'd be pretty pathetic if they weren't. But what I enjoy about a polished game is the small details.

I understand the game comes out in April... and the teeth probably are a work in progress. That's exactly why I posted. We know sometimes they check the fansite forums. It's good to mention these things let the team at NRS see that people both see and appreciate the hard work put into the small details.

You guys act like someone critiquing a product they enjoy is blasphemy. I really enjoy the MK franchise and I want the release to be the best it can be, nothing wrong with that!

No, that's not me. I posted my own list of grievances, but none of them will likely be changed by the time the game comes out. I just pointed you out because what you posted is obviously a work in progress (or would be patched); I just don't see them keeping the teeth flying out while every tooth is still on the jaw, lol.

It's all good! ;) And I agree and understand the game is a work in progress. It was just something I noticed I hope they have the tech/time to polish up and this thread seems like the exact place to post the changes we would like to see in the final release from the demo builds we have been seeing.

MK3's explosions of multiple skulls, legs and rib cages say "Hi" lol! This is why I felt like posting the changes I hope they make. They have had some oddities left in the final product before for I just felt like throwing in my two cents. :)
 
I liked those MK3 explosions with an impossible amount of rib cages, skulls, limbs, etc. They made the explosions look MUCH bigger than they really were.

When MKIII came out with those brutalities and exploding bodies, yeah i thought it was cool and funny. But as the series continued i thought it was a lack of creativity. So i hope in future games the exploding bodies are more well thought out and realistic!

But to each his own!
 
: less gimicks like Kotals totems and quan chi sumoning bats etc and more focus on what the characters can do themselves rather than gimicks.

: better darker grittier scary backgrounds that are not too busy, theres too much shit going on in the foreground where the fighters are its distracting and its only there for interact-able purposes. works fine for the edges of the stage for escapes but when the whole stage is up in your face its not good. or at least have some stages that dont have interactables apart from at the edges if neccessary. so the background can actually be a background

: i would those huge metal clunky things off sub zeros arms, theres really no need for a ninja to have all that unnecessary weight plus its an eyesore.

: sort all of cassie cage out

: kanos eye lazer fatality could be better. you dont actually see any lazer which sucks plus the angle looks more like the opponents head is exploding from the inside. if it started at a side angle first so you could see the lazer go from kanos eye to the back of the head slowly burning the hole, skin melting, burnt flesh steaming, this would add more tension then the camera could pan around to the front view for the ending.

: Bald (MK 3) Kano should be in this rather than the same one as last game. since the timeline goes 5 to 25 years in the future it just makes sense.

: a better Hud and 'fight' font, at the moment it looks like an indie game Hud and font.

thats what id like, just little things. the gameplay looks great kinda looks like its guna play like MK3 :))) just needs some better new character releases now as the new characters so far are pretty dull ive yet to see an interesting move set or combo from any of the new characters just gimicks like ferra torrs whole shtick and kotal kahn with his totem thing. ugh

How are they gimmicks? They would only be considered gimmicks if they cannot be used as mix up or in game strategy, and by the looks of things, they can be used as a valid and effective strategy, particularly Quan Chis summoning bats..

A gimmick would be something like Mileenas useless B2 in MK9 or the special unblockable moves in the Tekken series

I feel like I need to see more of the game before I criticize it so much. It's still ways away from release so the team still has time to make it better. I'm really hoping for more females to be playable though, and I'm also hoping for a lot of (popular) returning characters to be DLC.
 
Some of the suggestions in this thread are straight up hilarious, lol. Perhaps they keep all the odds and ends in there (like multiple exploding ribcages in MK3) to troll us die hards? :cool:

WOW, we couldn't have more contrasting opinions. I think the Outworld Marketplace is the best background ever.
But I respect your opinion.
