Cyrax and Mileena are good characters, but they got overused by everyone at tournaments, along with Kung Lao.

Online, MK9 was the Scorpion, Smoke and Noob Saibot show (and still is). :laugh:

Human Sub-Zero too at the beginning, but the "zoners" and people who liked to use the same repetitive tactics quickly moved to Noob Saibot and Smoke, respectively.
 
Sonya was my main before I quit MK9. She always placed high in the tournaments. She placed higher than most Kung Lao players towards the end before MK9 started losing its crowd numbers.
 
I may not able to use the vortex effectively, but I know how to use Scorpion, making my opponents feel unease in MK9. My other mains in MK9 are Jade (my gaming love and wife), Smoke and Kabal.

Anyways, so after Zod comes out, I hope NRS will provide any news about the 2nd season pass releasing later on this year.

The next roster of DLC better have Martian Manhunter, Powergirl and Zatanna. NRS can do whatever they want with the fourth character just as long as I have those three.
 
If the supposed leak is anything to go by, my bets are that we'll see Martian Manhunter, Red Hood, Powergirl and Sub-Zero in season 2 of DLC.

Now I know that people are going to jump on the Sub-Zero thing, and probably b**** at me, but hear me out.
Boon does tend to lie from time to time.
Until it's confirmed that he's not in, I'm not counting Sub-Zero out just yet.
Anyways, he's the ying to Scorpion's yang. :laugh:

Cyrax and Kabal since MK3. I was never a Reptile player but I started using him a lot in MK9. My OG main was Liu Kang. Mashing 1 and Bicycle kicks all day.
 
Mileena, Sub-Zero, Scorpion.

I chose my mains around the areas of gameplay where I was free at, Sub-Zero for spacing and defensive play, then Scorpion for Offensive footsies with Whiff punishing, Anti-Air D1/Standing 1s, ground control. Later on, I used the the stuff I learned and applied it to Mileena.

Someone stated that Sonya was used a lot in tournaments, and I just ststaed:

Meaning, in tournaments people always used Kabal, Kung Lao, Mileena and Cyrax.
I should have been more clear on that.
It wasn't directed at characters that EVERYONE uses, just tournaments.
