Boon is considering klassic stages DLC

Hopefully one incredibly stupid guy won't be enough to ruin a character's chance of returning. It wouldn't be fair to everybody else who are fans of said character. Hopefully Himmerick and the rest of NRS knows this.

I have a feeling that it'll be a form of respect to get rid of Reiko from the franchise.
I hope not, but we all pretty much know in our hearts that this means he isn't coming back.

No, in all honesty, I had never thought it a reason to keep Reiko out of future games. And it shouldn't be either. If Himmerick is so traumatized about this experience that he would let it out on the game itself and the fans, that would be incredibly selfish on his part.

There is no excuse for what that douchebag who threatened him did. And I have alot of respect for Himmerick and I understand why he pulled away from Twitter after what happened. But it is beyond reason to take it out on everyone else.

But do you not expect this to happen? I'd say it's very likely, seeing as NRS already has switched from story characters to bias characters.

Can someone explain the Reiko fascination to me? I thought he was neat way back when in the 4/Gold period when it was implied he might be Shao Kahn in hiding, but once he was established as just a general who wears Shao Kahn's clothes a lot because he's covetous he sort of lost the appeal for me. Is it the comic that has people excited about him?

I always liked him because of his mystery of the Brotherhood of Shadow and his unique ninja-like moves with a normal general attire.
His eye design always made me jealous as well.

I don't expect or assume anything, you know that.
I hope to see Reiko return. If he doesn't and it's because of what happened to Himmerick, then I'd lose respect for the man for taking it out on the fans.

I loved him since MK4. He instantly became my first favourite male character of the franchise. Before him, I only had female favourite characters, those being Jade, Kitana and Mileena.

In MK4, it was mainly his gameplay I liked. He was fast and tricky. And like Jade, he had this mysterious aura about him. We didn't really know anything about him, other than he was of the Brotherhood of the Shadow and that he for some reason wanted the throne and Shao Kahn's helmet.

Oh, and he wielded a scythe, which is one of my favourite weapons. I'd love for him to wield that again.

In MKA we finally learn more about him, though not alot. However, we learn that he is intelligent and strategic... he somehow became Shao Kahn's general and he now has beef with Quan Chi, but he was waiting for the right time to strike at him. The way he approached Taven was unlike all the other villains (and even the good guys he meets, such as Sonya and Fujin) who just attacked him. He approached him in a diplomatic way, to learn who Taven is and why he was there, and as he estimated him to be a threat, that is when he attacked.

His intelligence and strategic character traits were proven even further in the comics where he is indeed pulling alot of strings from his position, alongside Havik, as the two of them are planning and plotting behind the scenes. And all the while being a very intelligent character, he is also shown as a brutal warrior, unstoppable and unrelenting, qualities that made him Shao Kahn's general in the first place.

Reiko is so much more than just another minion as so many others are shown.
I also quite like his style. Not so much in MK4, due to his costume being very much like the palette-swap ninjas, but his new outfit in MKA was absolutely perfect, imo.

Reiko is my brothers favorite character as well. Lol.
He's definitely not on my top 40 list of favorites, but I don't hate him. He's okay.

The guy is trying to protect his family, so I can't really blame him.
Sure, it would suck for the fans, but as the saying goes "It only takes 1 bad apple to spoil it for the rest."

No, then the douchebag would have won, because all that means is Himmerick would have caved into asshole's threats.

This isn't about winning or losing. It would be if NRS caved in and put Reiko into MKX BECAUSE the douchebag threatened Himmerick. But that's not the case if he was planned all along or if he would be put in any future installments.

If they caved into his threats, it would have sent the message that he could get his way all the time simply by threatening to rape people.
