Why are people pretending like being Batman requires a certain actor? You can't even see the guy for half of the movie! Hell, he's not even the reason that tons of folks enjoy Batman movies... the villains are.

How to be Batman:
Step 1: Portray a rich playboy.
Step 2: Put on the suit and fight people while mumbling (Bale's performance w/ the suit on was LAUGHABLE and still passed with ease.)

What makes you think Ben Affleck or practically anyone in Hollywood doesn't have this ability?

I think people are jumping the gun with this again as usual. They haven't even started filming and people are already saying the movie is going to suck. I mean how many times has an actor been cast as a comic book character and some has said "oh my god the movie is going to suck" people said the same thing with Ledger playing the Joker and Garfield playing Spiderman. Hell I think Garfield was a way better Spiderman and when i first heard he was casted as the web-head I was very skeptical about him. All I'm saying is people should give the guy a chance and from what I have heard he was really good in Argo and The town so as an actor Im sure he has improved a lot since DareDevil. Oh yeah now that I'm on the subject. It was not Bens acting that ruined Daredevil (not saying he was good but not saying he was terrible either) it was the directors fault that the movie wasn't good.

Ben Affleck may not have been who I preferred to play as Batman (I personally wanted to see what Scott Adkins could do), but I'll wait to see how he performs till I judge. He is quite talented and I could personally see him as being a grizzled, washed up Batman the director wants for the next movie.

Have you seen The Town? If you did you would know how good of an actor he is, despite some setbacks in his early career. He definitely has the potential to play a good Batman. Nobody really cared for Robert Downey Junior nor Christian Bale before their performances in their respective superhero roles, and many were skeptical on Anna Hatheway as Catwoman too. Peope just jump to conclusions based off nothing, just as you illustrated.

Ah screw it, I enjoyed him in Daredevil, so I don't think I'll have a problem seeing him as Bruce Wayne.

I didn't even mention Heath Ledger in any of my posts :laugh:. Learn to read. Even still it is quite a valid argument given the way people instantly jumped the bandwagon seeing his performance. I don't see how it has anything to do with his death really, his performance was spectacular and he proved his critics wrong. What other stellar performance did he have before being cast as the Joker? Yea...exactly...hardly any. Ben Affleck too has redeemed himself with his rough career start over the years, he can do a fine potrayal of Batman for sure. You are just too biased and judgmental is all.

i never personally saw it but it ended up being a huge success

in fact ledger got nominated for an award but didnt win.

i know this is going to cause a shit storm but let me hit you with some truth. the only reason why ledger won the academy award in 2008 is because he passed away dude. and the role he was nominated for was the joker with no mention of brokeback mountain.

can you sit there and say you yourself expected anybody to win for a comic film?

do you think the dark knight wouldve been nominated at all if he didnt die?
