I don't think I have a favorite bass line to be honest, but when I do play my bass I usually start off playing the bass line to Marilyn Manson's The Reflecting God.

Simple and fun.

By the way, if that bassline sounds familiar to those NOT familiar with Megadeth, then you all probably recognize it for its brief use on MTV News. However, Mustaine and Ellefson never received a dime off of its MTV News use, because MTV cut off the bassline one note short of the point where they would've been required to write checks to the Daves.
