Am I the only one who enjoys the boss fights?

I see everybody complaining about Shao Khan and Goro/Kintaro. What do you want them to do, make it just like any other fight? They are bosses for a reason. They need to be noticeably harder than everybody else. It makes you use different tactics and really think about what you are gonna do to win. The only bad thing is when Khan spams the throwing hammer over and over again. Other than that, I think he's fine.
Anybody else agree?
 
no i enjoy boss fights too i like how it makes me spam things back i like it and its easy not hard just remember spam teleport or trowing objects
 
I find Shang Tsung to be harder than Goro, Kintaro, and Shao. You can use one strategy for the latter 3 bosses all you need to do is jump over them do a simple 123 combo, rinse and repeat. Yes, it does work when playing against them on hard/expert, it's how i rack up currency ;)

I think the Boss fights are REALLY FUN!

The boss fights, including the Shangster, are all fun and valuable to the game IMO. They help a lot with getting used to the game's fighting system. Goro/Kintaro battle really helps flesh out the gaurd-breaking combos and teaches people that evasion with teleport powers, jumping, and even dodging can bring any enemy down.

Shao Kahn (who I must say was a ***** on the last phase of Story Mode), takes the formula to another level by either forcing the newbies to improvise with power or style spamming, or making the more efficient fighters utilize openings in your opponent and matching specific attacks with different opportunities.

Also, it's MORTAL KOMBAT. You fight Shang Tsung, you nearly die with Goro, and you tear your eyes out with Kahn. Build an attachment with your character, it makes for a more accomplished ending. Not once did I ever yell "GYUUUUHHHHHHHHHH" fightning Shao Kahn in frustration (in Ladder mind you, Story Mode is a totally different story).
 
I love all three boss fights including Shao Khan. IMO I wish they made them cheaper. there is nothing I hate more than a fighter game I can blow through cause the bosses are easy

Dear god... Story Mode Shao Kahn literally made me curse at my TV more then I ever have in years. It's like "WTF HOW DO YOU TURN THAT FAST MOTHER F*CKER IM GONNA KILL YOU AND YOUR MUTHERF*CKING FAMILY YOU PIECE OF SH*T! IVE DONE THIS LIKE 50 F*CKING TIMES!"
 
My response after destroying Shao Kahn in Story:

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YOU SUNUVAFRIKFRAKEN URRRRRGH I WILL PLUNGE YOUR HAMMER INTO YOUR SKULL."

My secret to beating him? Back X->Square->Triangle (Heavenly Something?)->Shocker->Uppercut->Torpedo to set him up for the Heavenly Combo
 
The boss battles are a pain in the @$$ but hey that's what makes them so much fun.....that and bad mouthing Shao Kahn like Flawless said.
 
Serious question but has anyone here is any of the original MK games beaten any of the bosses in a fair fight? In MK1, 2 and 3 the only way i could beat Goro, Shang, Kintaro, MK2 Khan, Motoro or MK3 Khan was to resort to exploiting the AI and beating them in a cheap way
 
Depends on how you define fair. Motaro was relatively easy and I could beat him with any low-level characters like Styker or Sektor just by anticipation of his attacks. Same for Shang Tsung. For Goro I did have to exploit a little with Kano and Scorpion, but it was still possible to do it without powers. But for Khan, it was mostly hugging corners or countering misses in attacks.

Well Motaro I have (only because there was a combo system) but goro and kintaro, well, kinda had to screw with the AI. No pressure to it though, it's not like your turning the AI off or anything. They can still hit you.

...thanks kahn....I really need that...
