"Like Kitana and Rain, Tanya is an Edenian, a native of a realm konquered by Shao Kahn and merged with Outworld millennia ago. The Edenians have been fighting for independence ever since. Though she's a skilled kombatant, Tanya prefers more subtle means of achieving her goals. More recently she and Rain have allied with the ousted former Outworld empress, Mileena. Tanya and Rain will help Mileena regain her throne in exchange for the creation of a new Edenia. What will become of Tanya's relationship with Mileena thereafter, none can say..."
 
I'm not home to check but apparently her Variations as listed in the Kollection are:

Pyromancer
Kobu Jutsu
Dragon Naginata

Two weapon stances is interesting.

Ditto.

I enjoy female characters much more. For once, because they tend to be faster, and also because they are easier on the eye.
The first fighting game character I was "into" was Chun Li.

Mileena is my "main" (actually, MKX Mileena ascended to my number one spot of all game characters -- I think her design is absolutely stunning), but I also really like playing as Jacqui (especially machine-gunning the never ending onslaught of Scorpions, Sub-Zeros, and Jasons) and -- needless to say -- very much look forward to Tanya (and hopefully at least one more female DLC).

Nah, that's the new model. The hair is just partially obscured by the flames.

It does look purple around the blast there, but I'm not sure if that's a filter on the image. Maybe the EX fireballs have a purple aura?

Only disappointment for me is no neckbreaker Brutality, but hopefully that's part of her X-Ray.

It needs to be in her X-Ray, or at least pull an MK4 and give it to her as a grab again. It's her most iconic move.

It's not missable. I hope she kicks him to the floor, then jumps in the air to throw them in his hands, like Mileena in MKSM.
