LOL, Boon and WB are teasing me with my hopes for Cyborg Smoke by showing a generic 'gray' robot in this last episode of MK series. Do I get my panties in a bunch when he isn't this 4th character like all of you??? No. Forget MK Trilogy, he's the only character from the original MK3 not to be in MK9. I'm still holding out hope that he could still come as a separate character. I'd still take a well developed Cyborg Smoke over all of these DLC characters put together. But if he doesn't, he doesn't. It doesn't take away NRS' hard work on the game. Even if the character you want (Tremor oh please) isn't coming, don't cry about it.


Having said that, I still welcome Freddy as another bonus character, with open arms. He looks fun.

To NRS credit, they have done a good job with his look and move set.

He does not belong in the MK universe, and I wonder if this was NRS or WB decision. It just makes me think a plethora of other "guest characters" are on the way, and I fear the only people that wanted this character were the casual players.

haha, Freddy is 4fun, despite people hating him as hell now, along the time, and , because of curiosity how he plays, more people will pick him ........... I think we should relax, and just try Freddy, is not serious stuff to worry about, in the end of the day ......

He looks beast. And the polls everywhere voted for him and now a lot of people are mad. Then don't buy him shit its not that big of a deal last time I check wb owns freddy so that's probably why he's in the game. Either way he's here deal with it. His combos look stupid cool and the fatlities look really well done. They worked really hard on him. Guest character or not he's here.

Personally, I find this rather disappointing.

I wouldn't go so far as to boycot, depending on the alts provided with the pack, I'll likely download the compatibility thing. Honestly though, looking at his moveset, xray and fatalities, I'm definately not impressed.

What disturbs me most though, is the direction they're heading. If they do more DLC characters in the future, how many of those will be guest characters? I certainly wouldn't want 1/3 of the roster to be non-mk fighters for sure. But seeing this, I suppose it's only a matter of time before Jason pops up as DLC. And presumably, for every blockbuster movie WB releases in the future, they'll put another character as DLC? Dear God, I thought this new MK was all about fan service? A return to their roots?

Meh, very disappointing indeed.

Oh my god yes. What's the deal with that? At least Freddy fits into MK9. I cry for fans of MvC3. But not too much, because their game's update is going to be somewhat less broken than the original.

Tanya blows. I'd rather one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or the lil f*cker from lil big planet be the DLC instead of Tanya. That being said I'm glad you've crept back in my life, Freddy Krueger you beautiful demonic pedophile you!

I would've maybe accepted him if they had made him super creepy with some sick special moves that were reminiscent of the classic movies (like this scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UP1vv0wWp4 :twisted:). But he's just swinging his arms like a brawler lol (where's the nightmare fatality???)

And the absolute deal breaker was not having the original Freddy that everyone remembers (Robert Englund with 1 glove).

Pure suck. Had potential, but unfortunately fell flat.

of course he does not fit MK universe, but, from a gameplay point of view, he looks sick, funny and bad ass ..... so, worth a buy, even if works only for fun time sometimes online, against spammers and scrubs, lol !!
