<b>Kotaku</b> has the <a href="http://kotaku.com/5029247/green-lantern-joker-join-mk-vs-dc-universe-line-up">first word</a> from the <b>San Diego Comic-Con</b> presentation. The four new characters announced are <b>The Joker</b> and <b>Green Lantern</b> from the <b>DC Comics</b> side and <b>Jax</b> and <b>Kitana</b> from the <b>Mortal Kombat</b> side. Also announced was that <b>Jimmy Palmiotti</b>, <b>DC Comics</b> writer, might be a hidden character in the game and that <b>Superman's Fortress of Solitude</b> was shown and will be an environment in <a href="http://www.trmk.org/games/mortal_kombat_vs_dc_universe/">Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe</a>.

The big reveal at <b>Comic-Com</b> was the announcement of a limited edition <b>comic book</b>, illustrated by none other than <b>Mortal Kombat</b> co-creator <b>John Tobias</b>. The <b>comic book</b>, written by the <b>MK Team</b>, will be included in the <b>Kollectors Edition</b> on both <b>Xbox 360</b> and <b>PLAYSTATION 3</b> platforms.

Not to ruin the buzz, but does it mean that John is even rejoining the MK team?

Man I tell ya, we fans both MK and DC are getting the royal treatment on the whole deal! I'm gonna go for the special edition!
 
The special edition was a guarenteed pre-order from me the moment they announced the game. Now that goes double.
 
This game is shaping up to be better and better! Every reveal by the MK team (Ed Boon) has been getting excited and extremely optimistic. I really hope the game lives up to the hype.
 
Now the question is....3 spots left on each side....whose is it gonna be?

No doubt a DCU spot will go to Wonder Women, but MK is still WAY up in the air.

I need to ask you guys a favor. I need to know ASAP if the Kollectors Edition will be released in Europe, and if it isn't I need to know if it will be region free. I don't want to miss out on a slice of MK history.

EDIT: Yeah, that's one spot on each side on Worlds Collide, but if we look at the character select screen, it leaves three slots each. They did initially say 10 on each so I'm going with that.

Well I'm still holding out for Shao Kahn. Even if he's not playable (although I hope he is) I'd be happy enough to just see him there. Boon did say that there WILL be characters that are non-playable that appear in the story mode.
 
I'm still shocked Raiden has not been announced.... And i'm still dreading the day i hear Johnny Cages name..... If Boon really had a sense of humor he would put in stryker.
 
MK - Kahn, Raiden, (goro, ermac, smoke, noob, quan chi, shinnok?)

Dc - Wonder Woman, (Darkseid, doomsday, Luther?)

As far as Europe and the Kollectors Edition, that answer hasn't been made official yet. Everyone keeps saying that they don't see a reason why it won't be.

I don't remember, did Armageddon get skipped in Europe?
 
It says in the story line on WC that two Conquerors merge. So I'm guessing that we'll see a kind of amalgamation between Shao Kahn or Onaga and Darkseid or maybe Mongul?

EDIT: Yeah, we only got the standard editions of all of the MKs so far.
