  • Nigguh I know where all my babes be disappearing to. You stuck your hand in the cookie jar...well in this case...the...girls jar?
Not sure yet, I got an xbox one recently as a gift which is the only next gen system I own. But I know more ppl who will have MKX on ps4, so I am not sure exactly what system I will end up getting it on first.
The 2004 sound really is the early 2000s sound. So, I've already said Thrice, Taking Back Sunday, Funeral For a Friend. There's also Silverstein, Senses Fail, Story of the Year, Finch, Fightstar (yes that is the singer of Busted *cringe*), Thursday and Hopesfall.

This is all that stuff which just sounds really, really post hardcorey. It's soo nostalgic to me. It's not just 2004 music, but 2004 was sort of a middle point of that era. There's also old Saosin and stuff to put that into context.

And that's pretty cool! I will probably have to hold off MKX... I'm still getting headaches, so I'm not playing any games at all. It's actually painful to stop playing, and I sometimes sneak in a little bit of Gran Turismo or something like Shadow of the Colossus, but I can't really play too long. But, when I can - that is, when I've stopped playing enough so that when I play, I won't want to play for ages and ages - first thing I'm doing is buying a PS$ and firing up that MKX
There's still PLENTY of unique music around. I totally miss the 2004 sound of post hardcore; it was totally amazing, but to say there's no good post hardcore around right now? Silly, silly. Too Close To Touch are great newcomers, there's Dayseeker, I the Mighty, Adventurer, The Venetia Fair, Heartist, Redeem/Revive...

You're just not looking hard enough.

God, you need to listen to the classics, too. Thrice, Taking Back Sunday, Funeral For a Friend...

You have loads of music to listen to.

But, yeah, issues are shit. Not because of the genre fusion - I don't mind fusing genres, that's how progress is made... Issues just... don't sound good (though, I respect Tyler Carter as a vocalist).

But, I didn't know you moved. At least you've found people with similar tastes :) Though, now you don't need me to bum music recs off any more :(

What did you think about Dayseeker?
I forgot how much they used to sound like a mix between underoath and Arms like yours....

ACTUALLY! Thinking about Arms Like Yours, their singer's newish band is sex on the ears!

That might quench your thirst for the old post hardcorey sound.
Secret Band are the remedy to all problems. And wut? Eidola aren't old - in fact, have you heard their new song? It's great.
i didn't even care anyway. i-it's not like i like you or anything, i-idiot

i'm honestly not that hyped. i love tillian but i don't really think he's right for dgd after spending time listening to his stuff back in tides of man or even his brief stint with saosin again.

i dunno... i haven't even been listening to much post hardcore lately except for the classics like silverstein and senses fail. i can't stop listening to indie and alt rock... as well as uk grime
I admire your tendency to not give a funk

But that's how peasants play. I got shit that does over 1000 damage right now and I just hack shit up with one slice. Whole mob of zomboz and I chop them down within seconds because I'm a boss. Demolishers only take 3 hits too. GET LIKE ME, KID! I AM YO FADDA
Hey a quick update on that mileena picture of yours
I kinda scrapped the bust in favor of a full body pic based on her mkx appearance

Soooo uh yeah hop you're ready
