Man, I so want Bo' Rai Cho to be this impressive S tier tournament character just for the incubuslord dude to shut the hell up for once...

Why do people use their OWN opinions to generalize everything and facts??? It does get tired after a while...

They could have also decided against that because people kept barking out for characters like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana & the cyborgs.
So yeah, it's also quite possible that we could have had more post-MK3 characters, if people weren't so hung up on the Trilogy roster.
 
Can you blame them? People actually have good memories to go off of on those characters. They don't have to read some shithead's fanfic to understand why Cyrax is so sick.

I still think, with these trilogy characters, they should only take a small handful of them to each game past MK9. That way there's a few to chose from and enough room to have a decent roster.

Why though? Why burn the majority to please a select few? Nobody gives a shit about Tanya or Bo Rai Cho, and NRS made them EXACTLY how they should have been made. But Tri(logy)borg is getting more love than a god damned guest character. The 3d cast are the ones who should be introduced in handfuls. They leave such a sour taste in the mouth of most people who even remember them.

Again though, I love the 3d cast. But I'm trying to be realistic here.

All I'm saying is it shouldn't have the same bunch in every game. At least rotate them. That's what I've been trying to say. Instead of Sonya, Jax, Johnny, Kung Lao, Kano, Mileena, Reptile, Ermac they could rotate their shifts with the other trilogy favorites that didn't make it to X. I think there's enough trilogy characters that people could accept them being absent for a game when others fill their place. I think [MENTION=5028]Commander[/MENTION] has even described this before.

Then yeah, agreed on the 3D cast. Thrown in a handful of them and a handful of newish then call it a day. Drahmin probably won't be one of them, but they call me a dreamer :lol:

So real quick, if I generate a roster going by what I'm saying, we'd have:

Trilogy: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Liu Kang, Kitana, Noob-Saibot?, Smoke?, Kabal?, Sektor?, Jade?, Sindel? (?=interchangable with any trilogy character)

3D/MKX/NEW(The handfuls): Drahmin, Kenshi, Takeda, Cassie, Havik, Reiko, Fujin, Ferra Torr, Erron Black, Kotal Kahn, Shang Tsung, Kung Jin, Jacqui, New character, New character, New character + 8 DLC characters)

I don't know about you, but an example like that sounds dope to me. I mean you can change out any of those names but keep the formula and it would still be fair. Its who they pick is where being realistic comes in :shot: Factor in guest characters, someone's going to be mad that _____ character didn't make it over them. Inevitable.

And yes about the guest DLC. I've said this before but I would prefer MK characters over guests anyday but NRS really softens the blow for when its guests I absolutely love. (Except Kratos) So, it doesn't eat at me as it does others. I can atleast indulge in what we got.

At the end of the day, for a lot of people, the era they grew up with is the era they have the fondest memories of.

He has every right to be here and state his opinion, even if it is nothing more than unintelligible rantings and ravings. He just ridicules himself by acting the way he does... I always see him as that one spoiled kid in the store that lies on the ground and cries out, because he didn't get the candy he wanted. But he doesn't want to leave, because then he doesn't get the attention he seeks. It's the whole "negative attention is better than not getting any attention" kind of mindset.

He isn't really breaking any forum rules that I know of, maybe other than the inflammatory ranting... you could report him for that, if you want. Maybe one day he'll be banned and not be able to return then. Depends on the mods, of course. But until then, he'll keep coming back. Kinda like an untreated STD.
