Kombat Pack 2 Reveal tomorrow!

Why can't they make DLC Alts for the new characters or stop all of this "Klassic" MK1-3 bullshit? I want to see something new for once, they're not even that nostalgic, TBH. I see them as wasted time and effort for something new and fresh, similar to Pharaoh Ermac and Vampress Mileena, those were amazing alts and worth the money paid IMO.

I propose a Brazil pack 2 w/ Cassie in Soccer shorts :love:
 
Yeah, Samurai and Horror were great packs. Kold War was cool too, but nothing else was as creative as those two.

Can't lie though, red gi Klassic Kano is pure bliss
 
I had a Love/Hate thing going on with the Kold War pack because it's really nothing new because the idea was used in Injustice with Batman and Death Stroke, but Sub Zero's ALT was pretty amazing especially with the Unbreakable variation.

Honestly, anything Post MK4 costume-wise would be acceptable. Shredder Sub-Zero, Deception Scorpion, MK:DA Sonya I would happily pay for them, along with brand new costumes of course.

Because that's how NRS rolls: How to disappoint fans and alienate people?

First, announce a game for all platforms. Then emphasize that you're working only on next-gen and you don't even give a fluck how it will backscaled because it's someone else's problem. On release day let Steam do a test run with some new downloading method, fans at least won't be displeased by a messy PC port as long as they can't run the game. Then give them a millions of patch to catch up because it's fun. Then tease last-gen owners saying update is coming soon only to reveal last-gen versions are cancelled. Then let your company do the announcement and you shouldn't tweet anything about that until only a few days after when you confirm the cancellation saying how sorry you are. Then top it off teasing new DLC and announce it for 2016 a day later.

The result? The best selling video game of the first half of 2015. You can't blame them, they clearly know something.
 
People still mad at NRS for that last gen situation? Smh, let it go. It obviously wasn't possible
 
Not mad. Just shows they don't really care for their fans as much as people think. They have a iconic character in Baraka who dies, they don't even include him in the game they just say he's dead and your last chance to play him was 4 years ago.

Tbh I really don't care about the Last Gen consoles.
 
If they can't make MKX work for last gen they can't make it work. It's not like they had last gen ready and they were about to release it but were like "HA! No, lets not release it, they'll get so mad!" They couldn't make it work.

Because, unfortunately, those of us who want other stuff other than "MK1 - 3 bullshit" are in the minority VS the casuals who want to see the same nostalgic stuff over and over again.
I would love to see different costumes / alts for the new characters, but I wouldn't be surprised if Shinnok got an MK4 alt, Goro got an MK1 alt, Tremor got a "Klassic" alt and Tanya got an MK4 alt, to complete the whole Klassic character crap.
The Pit 1 is coming as a DLC (supposedly) and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Baraka was included in KP2 to finish of the MKII debut cast, because you might as well since the Original 7, Reptile and Goro are in. :roll:
Might as well have MKII entirely in.
While they're at it they should also do KP3 with Cyrax, Sektor, Kabal and Smoke, then they should do a KP4 with Jade, Sindel, Nightwolf and Stryker, that way we can just skip all of the bullshit entirely and just call this MK9.5.

My only question is the pricing. $30 is a lot tbh and if we include the price of the main game and KP1, that's two copies of MKX with one copy only having 8 characters and some skins.

I don't know, sounds kinda backwards to me...
 
I don't even like most of the Trilogy characters, there's only a handful I want. But apparently that makes me "stuck in the past."

Which makes no sense considering I don't even like the characters for Nostalgic reasons

That would be godly, seeing all the MK9 characters with the new variation system. I doubt they would do it, but it would be a cool to see in this game.

Hence why I was implying that the majority of people who want the same Trilogy characters, game after game, are usually casuals.
If you don't fall into that casual category, then it's obvious that I wasn't talking about you.
The fact remains, though, that when you go on Twitter and see people complaining to Ed or any general gaming site, what most of those causals complain about is "Boo-hoo, Baraka, Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Smoke and Kabal aren't playable. Waaaaaaaah."

Their last hurrah was supposed to be MK9, hence the reboot and why MK9 was essentially a love-letter to the fans.
It's time to move on and progress the series forward, not regress.
 
Sooooo do you think the character's may be revealed later today or is the 'Announcement' only confirmation and are we going to have to keep guessing till 2016?

Because plenty of those people who comment on MK articles on other gaming sites have admitted to not having played an MK game since the Trilogy era or that their first game back to the series since the Trilogy era was MK9, and those people far out number the amount of people on here, Test Your Might, MKO, Kamidogu and The Kombat Tether (the MK faithful / hardcore, if you will).
Lots of people on those sites admit to not being interested in MKX until it goes down in price or not interested in it unless __________ character is in, which is a common casual complaint.
100 (or more) people on TRMK is considered a high traffic number, while in normal gaming sites like IGN, Gametrailers and GameSpot it's not unusual to have 3000 people (or many more) commenting on any given "hot" article.

I basically just want more post-MK3 characters.
I'd prefer Fujin and Sareena, but if Bo Rai Cho makes it in and he's given a good revamp, I'll give him a chance.

As much as Rain was my main in MK9, I'm not double dipping to play as the same character that I used in MK9.
Sorry.
Time to move on and go with the future of MK.
