Are they? Am I going to keep getting matched up with people with 0 bars?

Or are they going to grow brains and let us select our opponents based on connection, like Street Fighter IV does?

They say they're trying. So hopefully they will. We'll just have to wait and see.

They've been saying it for 5 years now. It's obviously not a priority for them. Killer Instinct gets it right on day one, but NRS screws it up 3 games in a row? (4 id you want to count vsDC)

No, they're complete trash in this department. It might just be a case of WB being too cheap to let them spend money on better servers. I'm not expecting it to get better, not next month, not four more years from now.

So far I've lost one match due to lag and that was yesterday. Most games I get into have amazing connection so I don't know what any of you are talking about.

Well, Killer Instinct is owned by Microsoft and created for their own console, and well, because it is Microsoft, they obviously know good netcoding since they're part of having actually created the internet, so of course KI would have good netcode. And I doubt they would want to share it with others, unless they would go exclusive.

Apparently it's not that easy for WB/NRS to do so. :/

It's people like you that make this such an issue. You know damn well most of the games aren't "Amazing". They made be playable, but they aren't anywhere near the standard that other games have set.

Fine. Tekken Tag 2 had great netcode, and before KI came out Soul Calibur V was praised for having what many considered the best netcode of all time.

It's better than MK9 but definitely not on par with KI, SF, and other fighting games. Even when I get a game with good connection it's by MKX standards, meaning there's still delay present. I'm starting to not even play ranked anymore because I'm tired of getting matched with people with 0 bars, at least I can back out in player matches.

Well I wouldn't say amazing but good or decent for sure. KoTH I think is laggier than standard 1v1 matches, but out of all the games I have played a lot have been solid.

Glad to see Namco has found a way to make good netcoding. It doesn't help WB/NRS though. And I doubt Namco would want to share either. :/

It's dumb that this shit isn't fixed by now because most of the people supporting the game play online especially if there's no offline scene present and it sucks that players who actually want to play legit people other than AI has to deal with this bullshit..

It isn't about sharing. It's about NRS' incompetence. Their inability to come up with their own system. The biggest western fighting game in the world, a WB sized budget in their pockets and they can't hire somebody who can fix this?

Well, apparently not. If they could, they probably would.

Bullshit. They have money for Predator and Jason.
Like I said, this just isn't a priority for them.

Well, if that's the case, it sucks, because online play is a HUGE part of the fighting game community. I want them to fix the netcode too, but fact is, we don't know why they haven't yet or if they will, or the reason behind it.

I personally hope it isn't because they see it as low priority. I hope they know that the interest in the game will fall alot faster if they don't fix the netcode, because that WILL be the case. And I hope they care about it.

I have a dream of MKX with no region lock and a good netcode

I swear I rarely experience lag... Which is surprising. I'm all for improvement but I'm not having this issue occur much.
