Frost for MKX

Depends on how hard you make that teleport be. She could have already grasped the basics of her powers while being alone, and while under Sub Zero she could refine her powers and explore unexplored zones of her powers. Once again adding the fact that she is a prodigy, it is very possible that she already has a mastery of certain high level techniques in the present day.

In short. If it were me. She could go crazy with her powers.

She had one in mka so it isn't outlandish. She's also a prodigy with a vast amount of untapped potential amd unlike Sub-Zero she lusts greatly for more power and learning so she can be stronger.
 
My problem is that almost everyone had a teleport move in that game. You talk about making her different, giving her an ability that we've seen dozens of varieties of doesn't at all sound like making her different. Give her an ability that we've seen very less throughout the series or something brand new.

Yeah her teleport punch was one awesome move to set up combos but it's been done to death.
 
I always thought Sub-Zero (Tundra) was a prodigy too... and with the power of the amulet even more.

And gameplay-wise I hate the balance NRS makes... all the characters are shoto-porters! It would be nice if they start taking balance a bit more serious and not give all the abilities to all the characters.
 
Sub-Zero and Tundra were never said to be Prodigies. Younger Sub-Zero also hates fighting, he only does it because he must while Frost loves getting stronger and learning.

It's still her teleport and not many have one in Mkx. Not to mention that a teleport helps set her from Sub-Zero abd for a more aggressive play style.
 
It really doesn't make a difference on what's hers and what isn't. The teleport has been done to death in the series and I feel that it's the "we can't think of anything new" excuse. I don't care for teleports, even despite the fact that one of my favorite Sub-Zero moves was his MK vs DC teleport. It's a boring move that I feel only gets thrown into a move set because they can't think of anything new. But since they've proven with this game that they CAN think of something new, I really doubt they'll give her a teleport.

Would really love for that to happen.

Also she has very long hair here which is tied in two large braids (something like Cammy White pigtails just with ice blades on top). That is basically the part which wouldn't work for game.

In story mode cutscenes and as NPC? Ok cool. As playable? Oh hell no. Then she will be exactly that copy paste female sub zero.
BTW, In MK DA she also was a student, but her uniform was way different.

Yet most characters don't have a teleport in mkx - Sub-Zero included. Most teleports in mkx are also teleport ing you into the air. Frost would be like her mka one where she slides off than slides back around with an uppercut or something. That is a pretty big difference compared to the other tekeporters.

Furthermore characters do retain some specials they had. Like Sub-Zero and his ice ball and Scorpion with his pull.

Why stop at just one protege for Sub-Zero, though?

Let's give him a really easy-going black sidekick, codename Chill (get it?), who also looks similar while slightly different! What makes him especially different is his laid back personality and his dreadlocks!

We can add Sub-Zero's "chilly" ex-wife, codename Frigid.

And they'll need a super-powered dog mascot who wears a cute blue vest. They can call him Lil Blue.

What do you think, enough Lin Kuei cryomancers? Or should we keep going?

I see nothing wrong with it and since she appeared in it that would be her default anyway because that's how most will know of her in the reboot. Her DA us good but like other old timeline stuff it would be dlc.

Besides, Sub-Zero's alt in DA was pretty similar as well, not as similar as mkx but similar.

Sub-Zero and Frost are currently the last know Cyromancers and unlike those made up characters Frost exists, she's his protege, that's how she appears in story do that's her canon outfit, and she's a fellow Cyromancer. The Lin Kuei also have plenty of all characters as is to pull from if Boon wants too.

It doesn't make a difference how many characters in X has a teleport move. As I said, it's a move that's been done so many times now it's completely boring. Doesn't matter what kind of variant you have with it, whether she punches her opponent after she's on the opposite side or it's just a teleport. It's a dull, boring move that has been done over and over again. They shouldn't have to rely on her past moves, especially taking things from Armageddon. She should have little to hardly any of her past moves return and just give her a brand new bunch of moves to make her completely different since that seems to be the bothersome amongst everyone who has a problem with her character.]

If you keep giving her moves that we've seen or has been done plenty of times, then why bother with her? They can keep her looking the same since they're obviously doing so, but if she is coming into the cast as a playable character then she better damn well be completely different. If anything they need to keep, make it her ground freeze but with a difference in how it affects the opponent by slowing them down rather than freezing.

Well in this case for me it is a sin. As an artists I worship originality/uniqueness. That Frost uniform is just a lazy excuse of design in my eyes. But hey, when she was shown in that uniform it was 5 years before current events, and that means it wasn't very long after the events of the comics. So maybe in a present day she wears something different.

In worst case scenario (for me). If they made her playable and made that mkx costume default I would be just happy I can play as her. Even if I prefer a more original costume for her.

Yes, and I'm saying it's not enough cryomancer characters for me. I want more. You're not satisfied with just Sub-Zero being playable, and I'm not satisfied with just Sub-Zero and Frost existing. We had one, now we have two, I want three at least!
