Is faction wars broken?

Since no one answered Tarkatan Trash, I'll ask the same question, are there requirements for doing Faction Kills? I'm only able to do them once in a blue moon. Do we have to wait after a certain amount of time, or have to fulfill certain requirements?

This is why I refuse to do anything online for the first week.

Blizzard's games taught me a valuable lesson in waiting. Nothing ever works right or it is extremely laggy. I also had internet problems as well yesterday so that too was a contributor to not playing online.

Agreed. I'm honestly tired of being a beta tester. Literally every game I get nowadays is a work in progress. I'm all for DLC and after-launch patches, but all of the functions and modes of a game should actually work on launch.

There are no requirements for a faction kill. You just need to go full screen away from them when you go to input the command. All faction kills that I've seen so far are done full screen. You can do faction kills literally every single match that you win.

I just tried it online. First against 2 people within my Faction, and again against either a Black Dragon or a Brotherhood of Shadow. I'm about to try it in Single Player.

I think the system itself is kind of broken since it's basically just a popularity contest. The general population of MK players love the ninjas, and are gonna join the Lin Kuei. I would say Lin Kuei probably has 3:1 ratio of members compared to the other factions... Or more.

the fact you can switch factions at any time makes the whole faction thing pointless imo.

some people will just be constantly switching to the winning side
i think once you pick a faction you should be locked into it for a month and only one the 1st of every month you get the option to switch factions but everytime you stick with your faction you get rewarded with some kind of loyalty award.

i dunno something like that

When you switch factions, you are out of the Faction War for that week. No matter what team wins, you reap no benefits because you switched sides. You must wait till the following week before being included again.

What day marks the first day of the week for Factions, Sunday?

The invasion has begun... and Mileena is impossible. She has perma MK9 boss armor so you cant do anything to her, shes super fast and does ridiculous damage. All you can do is just jump around and hope to survive the 30 seconds

yeah... "30" seconds... On my third attempt I only had two seconds left with a sliver of health and it just stayed there, frozen in time and Mileena took me out. On my 15+ try (I forgot to continue counting at 13) I was able to beat it, but the times slows down at five seconds or so.

I'm only gonna be switching to every faction in the first 10 minutes of playing to get the trophy, then I'll be sticking in the brotherhood of shadow. I have 0 interest for the other factions.
You know there's a trophy fir reaching level 50 in each faction? I will be spying on the others fully before returning to the brotherhood

It certainly isnt very interesting since each faction is half as popular as the next.

I fimd it especially amusing that only 6% of players chose Special Forces. This must have come as a shock to NRS since half the newcomers and roughly a third of the entire cast are SF.

MK is best when its about ninjas, monsters, and wizards duking it out. Theyve really overplayed the military elements. They have their place sure... But its clearly disproportionate to their popularity.

On the contrary, I'm already sick of SF because of all those characters. I have no intention to play as any of them (at least not outside of just trying them once or twice) and I certainly won't join the SF faction.

If NRS wanted SF to be popular, they shouldn't have overindulged with them.
