I really hope not. Day 0 DLC has become the bitter norm of gaming... but day 1 DLC added on top of that? take it down a few notches, lets play with our new toys and then we can add some more to the party

Basically, the rumour is that Fujin might be the final character, and replace the question mark/random select roster slot as part of a day one patch.

Probably complete bull, but there have been a few small hints about this, and it is weird that there are currently two ways to pick a random character.

So you mean 2 unlockables? It has been confirmed Shinnok is unlockable when you beat story and now Fujin - a 2nd unlockable?

Purple is awesome, same as Rain. How can a name and a colour make a character an instant fail?

How is a guy that throws hats and a girl that throws and uses fans any similar to the God of Wind? You are not making any sense... as usual.

And how is just 2 ninjas plenty of ninjas? If you tell me Ermac and Reptile are ninjas then you are more stupid than I thought and that's saying something.

Reiko has potential, Havik is pure shit though.

Shinnok is on the roster by default (bottom left) and is unlocked after completing story mode. I have no idea whether Fujin (if it is him, and if this is even going to happen) has specific unlock criteria (i.e. completing a Living Tower on hard) or is simply being patched into the game at launch, replacing the random select roster slot.

The rumours stem from the fact that Ed Boon apparently posted a comment asking someone if they'd unlocked Fujin yet (this was related to Cassie's fatality... I don't know the details) and apparently the guy who datamined MK9 (supposedly he found Fujin voice clips in the game) has found some references to Fujin in MKX, such as his name being on one of Erron Black's bullets on his X-Ray move.

This is all second-hand rumour, so take it with two good handfuls of salt.

Would be great, though, right? :)

Same reason you used an exclamation mark instead of a question mark -- it's self-explanatory. How many grotesque Tarkatans do you want in the game? You do realise they're all just effectively inbred clones, right?

I really think baraka needs an overhaul. This is my main complaint with him, he looks no different. He's the leader of a race of sentient blender people, make him look like one. they were on the right track with his MK9 alt but he still looked too refined. HE should be covered in scars from war

I'm pretty sure that this doesn't happen in story mode... Maybe it's part of someone's arcade ending, but they tend to be chuck full of Kameos anyway.
 
I seriously hope Shao Kahn can be a playable character in a future game. 'Cause him being the boss got old but he's badass!

rain = is purple and called rain coz ed boon is a huge prince fan.
prince has a song called Purple Rain.
thats why the character is an instant fail

fujin = look at his mk4 moves he does a spin like kung lao and a lift like kitana

only 2 ninjas? err theres at least 6 ninjas = sub, scorp, mileena, kitana, takeda, tremor. throw in the cowboy ninja if you want and make it 7 (now whos stupid?)

Reiko = has potential i agree

Havik = is worth a try to revamp since theres hardly any monster types in the roster and far too many boring humans

Why would they announce the secret hidden fighter on the same day the game launches without even giving people the chance of discovering it themselves.

Kabal and Jin (in his alt) are ninjas too.. that sounds logical lol

Ermac's name is based on a computer error, "Error Macro" is he a fail too?
