Jax stronger than Shinnok, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero confirmed?
 
I like Jax tons better than Johnny. But canon-wise, Johnny is the better fighter. He's the Champion of Earthrealm and with Sonya's help, stopped Shinnok.

I assume you mean in MK9's Story Mode. Those fights shouldn't be taken in account, as alot of them were just put in to move the story forward. Hopefully you know this.

But one could argue that Johnny didn't go all in against Jax, because they don't want to kill eachother. He was just defending himself, because Jax just wanted to shut him up.

It's not just about strength. The question was "Who is the better fighter". And as said, though I like Jax TONS better... like MANY TONS MORE!!! - than Johnny... Johnny is still the one who beat Shinnok in MKX.

Why shouldn't they be taken into account? Everything that happens in story mode is canon.

We still don't know the details on his fight with Shinnok. But Jax has cybernetic arms. He could crush Johnny's head with a single punch if we want to look at this realistically.

Kung Lao beating Goro? (and after he lost to Scorpion, proving he is not on par with Liu Kang)

I still stand by my statement. It's not just about strength. If that was the case, Goro would have won over Liu Kang.
