I think with proper development, she could be a seriously badass character. NRS needs to take a darker apporach with her. Honesty, I hope she stays a zombie. She could be the new Scorpion.

I would like to see Kitana free Edenia in the new timeline and see it evolve from there. The entire Edenia part of the story seemed to be trashed this time around, and it makes me sad, because I loved that part. The Edenians are some of my favourite characters and I don't want them to be extinguished as a race.

I would also like to see a darker approach to Kitana. And I believe we'll be seeing that in MKX. But that doesn't mean she's right for a boss character.
A. She would need a serious power boost.
B. It really doesn't make sense for her to even be in that position. Granted, characters and stories evolve... But it would feel kinda forced, don't you think?
C. Simply put, they can do better. Like I said, making Kitana a boss would be like making Sonya a boss. It's like.... Why? They're not boss material. It just doesn't work. There's a bunch of other characters with boss-potential. Better off using them. Or just creating something new.

If by that you mean the most disappointing final boss... possibly ever, then yeah.Kitana would be an awesome final boss. Just throwing that out there

Cannot agree more with you!!! Really... Edenia is the best realm IMO, but since MK9 the game has been entirely focused in Earthrealm and Outworld (I know I´m earthrealmer but, c´mon, having such interesting realms like Edenia, Orderrealm, Chaosrealm or even the Netherrealm, it´s a waste to focus only in the most boring one: Earthrealm. It kinda makes this game like SF with 3 aliens: BOOOOOOORING)
We need to know more from all the other realms, but specially Edenia, since it´s one of their best creations...
However, I don´t see this happening.... We will be centered in Outworld and Earthrealm forever, In Scorpion/Sub Zero´s rivalry or Raiden´s struggle for saving Earthrealm... Kinda lame when you notice all the MK games haven been centered around these (EXCEPT FOR MKA)

Shinnok (MK4), Shang Tsung (MKDA), Quan Chi (MKDA) and Blaze (MKA) were all disappointing final bosses, imo. Kitana would be an improvement.
That said, I don't want her to be a final boss.

Honestly, I just want a female final boss. I think Kitana would be the top candidate for that position if NRS ever decides to go that route.

Of the female characters that currently exist in the series, I'd say Sindel is more boss-appropriate than Kitana.

Yes, or even Mileena (at a stretch); Kitana just doesn't have the force of personality or the following (in-game... at least so far) to present a credible threat. In MK9 she was a bit of a lost cause.

I think in order to make her a "bad-ass" character, they need to make her a stand-alone one. Break free from the Earthrealm warriors and just venture out on her own as the one working from behind the shadows. It would be super awesome if she was to be revealed as someone that was the mystery person in charge of sabotaging the main antagonists's attempts to dominate. Like it could be a shocking moment in the game. She doesn't even have to interact with the Earthrealm people, and if so, just have her shrug them off as "lowly" people (haha) and be like "I don't need you all". She can then move on to restore her realm. Oh and I kind of want her to redeem Mileena this time. Deviate her from her current path and just form a 2 man (or sisters) army that works from the shadows regarding handling things with precision and swiftness.

She's getting some awesome outfits for this game. According to the latest leak, seems she's getting a princess alternate. I'm sure it's going to be one of these (i think the right side one)
