New Stream this Thursday - BRUTALITY!!

I noticed that Cassie talked to Kano with a very vengeful, painful tone, while everyone else's were just smart ass comments. I wonder if something happened to Sonya.
That'd be interesting.
 
I am going to assume its 1 brutality for every special move and throw

I don't know if there gonna be 5-6 per character but that totally makes sense. it could be a bit weird to be able to do brutalities only by doing certain special moves and not the other ones.

I'm pretty sure that the "blink and you'll miss them" was a very deliberate design decision. Fatalities often get skipped over in tournaments, unless it's the last match of the BoX. Brutalities are over too fast to be skipped, guaranteeing that the match will end on a gruesome note.

yeah thats great for new way to do a fatality in tournaments. But is it A BRUTALITY??

thats the question. i say no. not even close. they are less brutal than fatalities.

it looks more like someone just discovered a glitch to skip the 'finish him' bit
 
The thing is with the new brutalities is thyre not very impressive because its basically a regular in game combo with a weaker quick fatality on the end. That's not a brutality. That's just a tiny 2 second Fatality glued onto a regular combo. I'm not asking for the same shit from umk3 but a bad ass over kill beat down would be way better than what we got.

i like that the fatality enders look like simple early MK fatalities but thats the fatality part! NOT the Brutality part! the regular Brutality part is basically a regular in game combo :( thats why its a let down. then after that its just Scorpion cutting off two arms and subzero sticking an ice knife to the head? Lame as hell.

the thing is with the old brutalities is people lack the ability too see what they could be today and can only see them as they were with a narrow minded mentality that thinks if they made them that way today they would just cut and paste the brutalities from 1995 into MKX that all look the same then they explode. smh

but remember when people first saw kung laos throw? everyone was talking about how awesome it looked, some even thought it was a brutality!
well times that length by 5 or 10 with even more equaLLy awesome punches and kicks before he bends them over and keeps going till their head falls off. and thats what an old brutality could be today and they all dont need to look the same for every character. some could be fast like kung laos but characters like Kano, Baraka could have slower ones with heavier but deadlier hits,
subzero going Ninja bezerk with ice fists .
Scorpion taking his opponent to hell and give him some sort of beat down there.
Ermac releasing all his souls upon his opponent.
sh!t like that then stick the fatality on the end of that and boom all awesome and all unique and most of all BRUTAL not just a regular in game combo

i really cant see how something like that wouldn't of been better?

Brutalities this time round could of been the most awesome thing in Mortal Kombat since Mortal kombat itself but instead they made 100s of mini fatalitys that you stick on the end of a combo. THERE IS NO BRUTALITY HERE your basically just bypassing the finish him part then sticking a weaker fatality on the end.

They obviously didn't put too much thought into creating a new brutality.

lets say youve got a 35% scorpion combo that ends in a uppercut .. lets say >> launcher jump kick teleport jump kick teleport > uppercut ..

if teleports triggers the brutality .. will the second teleport trigger the brutality or does the uppercut ending nullify the brutality leading to the *normal * finish him?

Im kinda guessing it depends if the teleport of the uppercut is the final blow .. i hope so tho.
Would be cool if you can adjust your combos to decide if u want to end the combo normally or with a brutality

thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that the special move/throw HAS to be the final blow in order for the brutality to be triggered. Otherwise you will get a "FINISH HIM".

I'm not liking the ones from Scorpion, his brutalities are boring as hell, the others were all great!

Where can I see the new Kotal Khan level? Missed that part

Dvorahs shown brutality is better than most of the fatalities.

Indeed, it was a fatality I really wanted from her! It looked gruesome too for such a simple and fast fatality! Hope there are more like that, can't wait to see the Brutalities from Kotal Kahn and Reptile.

These Brutalities are great, I can't understand the complains. So do you prefer the same long combos ending in a ridiculous body exploding instead of over a 100 different endings? Don't forget that there are certain things that have to be done before performing a Brutality. I am sure it will be possible to end a over 40% combo with brutality move, meaning that you can "create" your brutality.

It's also great that they are not cinematic, it gives a kind of MKII fatality look to it. There are a lot finisher possibilities, this is what I always loved about MKII and UMK3. I can imagine that there are some secret brutalities that are difficult to perform.

Anyways, I watched the stream yesterday and thought of the possibilities. They have X-Rays, extended moves, fatalities, brutalities combined with three variations and a lot of individual prefight intros and still people complain about MKX being a MK9 rehash just because they add some popular characters. Shame on you, this is going to be the best MK game ever. Don't get me wrong, I also want to see new characters and some of the non-MKT characters, but saying it's a rehash is a disgrace. It wouldn't be a rehash even if they brought 90% of all MK9 characters back.

The salt will flow when people get good at high level combos into brutallites since you can't skip them lol good shit NRS
 
Over 100 brutalities. You know what this means? You can probably extrapolate the roster size with that number. 3 brutalities for each character. So... I'm guessing around 30?
 
No, it wasn't.

Actual brutalities are awesome, better than anything I could have expected, and most of the fandom is agreeing with this. I've seen only a few saying otherwise.

hahahahaha dont make me laugh. your expectations truly suck then. They arent even brutalities. sticking a quick fatality on the end of an ingame combo is not a Brutality. its basically just a weaker fatality and its an embarrassment to even call them Brutalities

Quality > Quantity

A three hit finisher does not count as a brutality lets be real people. Also, no ones saying to make them like the old games where they have 6 rib cages and bones scattered everywhere just make them ugh more brutal. Kung Lao's beatdown on Sub Zero was a great example

The Brutal part of a Brutality should be the combo itself not the finisher after the combo.. These "Brutalities" are just weaker fatalities.
with these Brutalities The combo part that should be the Main BRUTAL part is just a regular in game combo.

i dont see how its a plus that a Next Gen games finishing moves look like they belong in a game from 1993. im an oldschool MK 2+3 fan too but this is just weak as piss.
