I knew Jax was in the moment I saw Kung Lao two weeks ago. Same with Kitana and Liu Kang.

If you bring back one dead fan favorite, you have to bring them all.

I wouldn't say that he's in and playable yet... afterall they did say that not everyone who appears in the comic will be in the game.
Now with that being said, "unfortunately" this could mean there's a strong chance he could be DLC.
(if that's the case I can say confidently that I won't be purchasing him.)

Liu Kang, Sonya and Johnny have all been hinted at one point or another so it wouldn't be as surprising or as much of a let down as Jax could potentially be. Besides I have high hopes for Liu Kang's return as an anti hero.

I can't get over how cool Fujin looks, I hope he has a big role in MKX and takes over the incompetent Raiden's duties lol.

I don't like Jax, but I'm sold on his inclusion considering boot #5, Ed retweeting the boot pic along with two Jacks (Jax), and the fact that he's been in every game since his debut in MK II, besides Deception (though he was in the Unchained port).

Yea you made some good points about the boot, if we see Jax in more chapters I'll make sure to keep an eye out for those boots lol.

As a matter of fact, you don't permanently remove fan favorites under ANY circumstances...not even for story purposes.

I've seen this idea floating around, and I like it: the Shokan settlement in Australia from Sheeva's MK9 ending is actually now canon. That could be fun.

Serves Australia right for banning MK9 in the first place. I hope the Kangaroo race goes extinct just for that travesty.

Agreed.
It's bad enough that Fujin got shafted from MK9 and was in the sound files for the game.
Hopefully he doesn't get left out of MKX.
Even it he's just DLC, this game would be that much better with a Fujin overhaul, like they did with MK9 Kenshi.
 
About the #3, though it's a spoiler thread adn we are already avised, I will put spoiler tag because, well, not many may have accessed before sunday:

The story wouldn't be hollow to bring back Scorpion as the vengeful spirit as we thought.

The "demon" was obviously doing what we feared: trying to make him become the wraith to spill more blood.

It's doing what I said and many said too about Kotal Kahn: blood makes it stronger.

Though I don't think it's Kotal. On Raiden's vision, it's obvious that Kahn is another puppet.

I don't know the relation with Quan Chi too.

Fox died, I don't think he will be back. He needed to die so the Shirai Ryu would die on the hands of the "demon".

Now Takeda and Scorpion are going after Raiden.

The later said that will make Raiden beg, but that does not sound how Scorpion would say if he was on that hot fuss he had in the past.

He controlled his anger. He knows how to spend it.

If this Scorpion was the one to be approached by Raiden to not kill Sub-Zero, HE WOULDN'T.

Fujin looks good. MK:A style (which was better).

I couldn't figure the relation of the daggers and the Kamidogu, if they were retconned as daggers (makes sense to shatter the One Being's body), but I don't think "retcon" is the rule, as we saw many times, or if they represent it.

Just one more thing:

Does it sound like this "demon" is going to be the big bad to anybody else?

Liu Kang doesn't come back as a demon right? He comes back as a fire god. So maybe Liu Kang's the sub boss and this demon is the big bad.

Problem is, the big bad is a surprise returning character. The only demon I can really think of is Shinnok's demon form from Mythologies.

Any other "demons" i'm forgetting?
 
I don't think Onaga's a demon. He's just a straight up Dragon.

Lucifer could be cool, but I don't think that counts as a returning character.
The more I think about it, the more I think this demon can't be the big bad. I just can't figure out who it could be.
 
I have a bad feeling about this demon "possessing" people.

As someone mentioned before, it sounds a lot like the rage thing in MKvsDC. And that just seemed like a cheap way to get people on the same side to fight each other.

Hopefully that all gets resolved in the comic.

NRS is definitely a hot mess this time around, but I don't think they're stupid enough to bring back the RAGE thing. For all we know, Boon knows about as much as we do when it comes to this demon. The writer was given a whole lot of freedom with his time period coverage. I will laugh out loud if the demon or the Kamidogu have nothing to do with MKX.
 
I don't think that Jax will be in the game. To me it seemed like he's actually training one of the new characters. Remember all the talk about descendants, etc? I think this is an example.

Or maybe he'll be in along with the new character he's training... Nevertheless, I think this is a good lesson for all of you who were defending the "MK 9 massacre" a few months ago, around the time I joined this place. A slap in the face. That massacre was meaningless, all for pure shock value and nothing else, just like I thought. I'll be offended if they bring Jax from the dead but not Shao Kahn.
