Guess the next character!

Don't really have a guess on who the supposed character is going to be. I'm most likely going to like them either way. Game hasn't shown me something to be disappointed with, character-wise.

Mileena has a big role in the story as well and has as big a fanbase as Sonya (if not bigger). NRS like them both a lot as well, except they seem to like Sonya a bit more because she's one of the original seven.

As for Kitana: as crazy as it sounds, I don't see her making it into the game, but she'll surely be DLC. She'll probably be the Rain of this game.

Same here. Especially the character design. Kano and Quan Chi look fantastic. But that could easily change if they show me a Takeda with Kenshi's moves, or a Johnny that hasn't evolved much.

Granted, but with Sonya having so many hints thrown in about her and Ed saying that Cassie being in doesn't mean that Sonya isn't in, as well as Ed saying that he likes the interaction between parents and their children in MKX, also has me thinking that she will be revealed some time between now and March.

I also see Kitana being DLC, but I shouldn't say that too loud or certain people will want my head for even suggesting it.
I'm hoping that most of the MK9 dead characters either stay dead for 1 game or are just DLC, to give the newbies some time to shine on the main roster.

Same here, but not just for the newbies. I want to see Fujin, Tanya, Bo' Rai Cho, Ashrah, Havik. 3D characters. Unlikely, I know. NRS can be stubborn at times.

If it does end up being Kitana, then I'll be more disappointed than I was with Kung Lao.
Where's this NEW blood that NRS keeps promising for MKX?
Where are the post-MK3 characters that had no part in MK9, like Fujin, Reiko, Havik and Tanya?

Going out on a limb here admittedly, but I'm expecting Tanya. Why? Well I know that Ed Boon has been responding fans' complaints about few female characters so far.

Given everything else that's been happening in the industry lately (ie gamergate), I hope that developers are paying attention to the debate and will want to appear sensitive to the concerns (among and from outside of the gaming community) about the portrayal of women.

Plus, that feminine-looking leg in the boots teaser pic just says Tanya to me. According to the the Kombat Tether, they have confirmation from Ed in an interview that there will be a character who debuted in MK4 playable in MKX.
 
I'll take whatever they give us! I'll adjust and love someone from this game, even though the only character i'm not too fond of right now is cassie, just not the biggest fan of people using guns in a fighting game (pet peeve).

Please let this be true.

But honestly, I don't expect Tanya to be revealed. I expect her to just be in-game, and we find out when the game is released, (Similiar to Sheeva. She was never announced but was on the roster when the game came out in MK9) that is, IF she is on the roster. (Very nervous that she isn't. I haven't seen 1 hint for anything near her.)
I think the next character to be released will likely be Mileena. She's the most popular female besides Kitana. That would catch peoples attention.
 
Predicting these things is a fool's errand, but just for fun:

It may be a new character, but if it's a returning one I'll go with Jax.
 
Anyone remember belokk? (the MK4 character that never was) I always thought he looked really cool from the screenshots but found it funny that they never returned to him. His dark design would fit MKX no?
 
Considering that you can choose your faction, i'm pretty sure that Kano will not be the only Black Dragon member of the game !

Between Kabal, Kobra, Kira, jarek and Tremor (i don't consider the members of the TV serie, Bannak, Kebral or Jola) i vote for Kira and Tremor, as returning characters !
 
If Kabal did return back to life with everyone else then I would imagine he could be working the Special Forces and not with the Black Dragon. I doubt he will become evil again like he did in the original timeline. Kira and Kobra exist because of Kabal being evil since he wanted to make a new Black Dragon since he thought Kano and Jarek were dead. If Kira and Kobra did somehow become Black Dragon members then I have a feeling that they will be killed off in the comic book series.
 
Havik and Hotaru. Chaos and order need to make an appearance.
