I hope they do, a little selfishly.
Could work if Cage and Sonya have been somehow corrupted and are now directly preventing the safety of Earthrealm. Cassie has the ultimate decision to make: Kill your parents and save the world, or don't and watch it burn.
Making it a chapter in the Story Mode allows Cassie to still do fatalities on her family without burning precious roster spots on them (with the plan of adding them as DLC down the line)

I don't think the NRS realize how much ppl really invest in these characters...DOA releases new costumes almost every month for people to use...I would buy every JOHNNY cage and mileena outfit they released

Right man. We need another character reveal. Some people are worried about their favorite characters not making the cut, and others are wondering if characters with potential are going to make the cut.

In that ending, Johnny goes to Seido to train, right? Well, we've seen with Hotaru how the Orderrealm population deals with things. And if Johnny turned into something like that, a cold, heartless, logical and orderly "hero"... We could just as well kick Johnny out and use Hotaru instead. Because personally, I find Hotaru alot more interesting as a character and the story he is involved in with the Dragon King, Dairou and Darrius, than anything Johnny has ever done.

I'd want something similar to that ending for Johnny, but not necessarily dealing with Sado, per se.
Given that Cassie is taking up the "joke character / comic relief" mantle from her dad, it would be nice to see Johhny mature a bit more into his role as 1 of the "original, older-and-wiser defenders" of EarthRealm, who maybe helps train Cassie and some of the newer generation of EarthRealm defenders.
MKX is a passing of the torch game, no?

Clown ,alien,cop,witch,tai Kwan do uniforms,cowboy,cow girl,ninja,racer,bikinis in various styles,steam punk,naughty made,playboy bunny,regular bunny,wraith,fairy outfits, street wear...that's not even naming them all...
They can come out with potatoe bag outfits and Ppl will still buy their product because they love the characters..this would have been a nice alternate for JOHNNY Cage...they missed out..

I do agree that I would like more costumes in MKX that are for "non-ninja" characters, but I don't think I agree with having THAT many per character.
It kinda sucks that Batman and Superman got all the costumes in Injustice and there were barely any for the rest of the roster.
The same happened with MK9.
All the male and female ninjas got costumes, but klassic costumes like these couldn't have been done????

I've played DOA before, but I was definitely unaware of that aspect; that's pure genius! Why the hell doesn't NRS do this?!

The game would have soooo much more replay value...of course we don't want Sonya in cheerleading outfits but I'm sure they can come up with some things for certain characters .
