I thought I was the only person who felt that way.
I miss the ones where it was just good ol death. No need for extra mutilation of an already dead body.

Baraka's MKII Head Swipe and Kai's Overhead Torso Rip come to mind. Some of my favorites.

I love those 2 fatalities (sigh) cage's old school ones, sindel... not to mention the sub zero head rip which was done in just swoop, no struggle ripping that head clean off lol
Don't worry your not the only one, swift deaths were what made fatalities so great back in the day. But unfortunately now it's just yep lets sit back and watch my character mutilate your for 30 seconds. Don't get me wrong that's all fine dandy but swift death like the Baraka head swipe makes a character an instant bad ass imo

I also love the old school fatalities. They used to be fast and bad ass. They also were based on one character's special moves. I loved Sindel's MK3 fatalities. Her MK9 fatalities are too similar to each other and not as good as they used to be in MK3. In MK9 most fatalities are overkilled slices and rip offs (arms&legs).

One great thing about Reptile is that his fatalities were all completely different in MK9. He even had his first fatality back, fast and brutal. With his eating habits and use of acid I'm sure if he's in we'd get the same varied brutality from him we always have. Just don't take away his bloody (force) balls again and I'll be happy!
 
I want to see Reptile use his tongue for some attacks.

Kind of like Toad (X-Men)

There's a ton of different things he could do with it.
-He could shoot his tongue at his opponents legs and trip them up.
-He could use it like Sindel's hair move, and throw people around.
-He could wrap people up with his tongue, then pull them in close. Kinda like scorpions spear move. Only much different.
-And he could have a sick X-Ray that involves using his tongue.

I don't know...I still like the force balls and acid spits
I just think it's time for something new.

Same here.
The water blade one was gorier with the tongue still flapping in the throat and had more blood to it, whereas the bubble one looked extremely silly, like a cartoon.

As for Jax's Arm Rip / Head Explosion Fatality, all they had to do was switch the order of it, and it would have changed the brutal feeling of it.
Ripping the arms off and then busting the head while the victim is screaming from having their arms ripped off = more brutal.
No sense in ripping the arms off after the head exploded.
For that, just don't do the arm rip and only give him the head explosion.
 
i did a ton of research ( alright i just watched jaeroar and uncagedgamez ) and it turn's out it's fake :( im not that sad but im sad for the ppl that wanted this to be true.

DUDE!!! Imagine a tongue Fatality called "The French Kiss"!! I'd be ROFLing all day long! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Which is why it's great that NRS is no longer depending on the cut-point system for MKX.

They're able to expand on the Fatalities in MKX with new gore technology that includes holes in torsos, internal organs (that don't look like a bunch of steaks, MK9 Skarlet) falling out, flesh being eaten off the bone (D'Vorah), eyes popping out (Raiden) and bullet hole Fatalities that don't make the whole head explode (Cassie).

Yeah, i think there is definitely some potential for badass fatalities.
Although Reptile has already done that.

I want to see that stuff in an actual match.
Have an entire variation that works around using his tongue.
They could get really creative with it

IMO, It would be cooler then him using a tail to whip around the stage

Yeah. The tail, while not bad, seems clumsy and slow.

The tongue... I wish they gave it the unique treatment it had in MK2. It felt... new and special. MK9 tongue was OK, but there's loads of stuff they can do with it...

lick opponent head -> dizzy/paralyzed
swallow opponent head (fatality)
grab opponent (scorpion style)
spit acid
grab screen
lick own head
tongue projectile

And honestly, the list just goes on from there.

Like you said tho, the tail isn't really a bad idea.
I just think there's so much you could do with his tongue.

Anyway, i just hope he makes the roster...and has a badass design.
No more of that weird MK9 Reptile

I thought it didn't look to bad in Deadly Alliance.



Speaking of Reptile's fatalities,
One of my favorites is Reptile's fatality from Shaolin Monks.
If brutalities were to make a return, Id love to see that fatality be incorporated into his somehow.
 
Just hope they make him swift and skillful. He always felt like the most ninja-esq of the entire roster, so weird playing him as a primitive big-foot. And bahezus, I can't wait to see his variations!

They did that in MK9.

Now that i think about it tho...
With this next gen gore tech they have, i could really see it being BADASS!
Could you imagine Reptile's acid eating a hole thru there stomach?
Acid and blood dripping out of the hole, mixed with some other type of mutilation.

Hahahhaa that tweet was pretty funny, pretty damn hyped for reptile tbh.
I would prefer his face munching fatality from MK4 rather than that one though since we pretty much had it in MK9
