Roster Speculation

He pissed the Elder Gods off TWICE. And those same Gods shipped him to the Netherrealm the first time.

The Elder Gods didn't ship him anywhere.
He ended up in the Netherrealm because his soul was tainted.
Do you pay attention at all to the story?

Regardless of how he may have pissed of the Elder Gods previously, if he is their only hope of stopping Quan Chi and Shinnok (as he did before), I'm pretty sure that they would bring him back to stop them again and the Elder Gods can make Bi-Han their Champion with certain stipulations.

I still think you guys should not rule out Meat. Do we even know his background story and how he became Meat?

No.
My whole point was that if Cyrax and Sektor had their human counterparts as alts, the same could have been done for Sub-Zero.
In an early build of the MK9 demo, human Sub-Zero had the Ice Parry / Sword move.
It felt like NRS just said "Hey, lets just divide up Sub-Zero's moves and give half of them to Cyber too."
For that, why not just make Sub-Zero a faster paced character, with ALL the Sub-Zero moves in 1 character (like Cyrax and Sektor also have in their human counterparts), and just make Cyber Sub-Zero an alternate costume.

I saw NO need for them to make a completely separate character, as both moves sets could have been consolidated into 1 character, with the move animation slightly changing depending on which version you used.
It was pointless!

bombs = Ice Grenades
Teleport = Tombstone Teleport (the one that Sub-Zero had in MKvsDC), and Cyrax also does Teleports in his human form with smoke bombs, btw.
Self destructing belongs to Cyrax, if you mean his dumb fatality.

There's no gameplay move that Cyber Sub-Zero had, that human Sub-Zero couldn't also do with some animation.

You don't think at that point your making Normal Subzero a bit OP with all those extra specials? Subzero has a bit too many specials to use them all in one character. Luckily your wish can come true with MKX hopefully :)

Cuts have to be made and you can't cherry pick your favorite specials lol.

So you're 100% against a clone character that takes VERY little production time, Gives the players more options in choices, as clone characters done properly tend to be completely different all together.

Again with the example of say Marth/Roy in Smash bros, or Ken/Ryu in SF.

They are clones, but they aren't exactly the same different enough that people prefer one over the other. It draws in more people. And it doesn't cost you a character slot because production time for that character was significantly dropped.

I never said to cherry pick the specials, YOU did.
All the specials should belong to 1 character on the roster slot, with cyber and human just being alts.
Plain and simple.

I'm against Sub-Zero being split in 2, for absolutely NO reason.
I never said that ALL moves HAVE to be in 1 character, I just stated that CSZ's moves are also applicable and can be animated to fit human SZ, and vice versa.
Maybe it would have been too many moves for 1 character, maybe not.
Either way, they should have made 1 Sub-Zero with the human alt having being animated slightly different from the cyber version?
Again, if Cyber Sektor and Cyrax can have human and cyber moves combined into 1 character, why not Sub-Zero?

Yeah, I do.

"He once defended Earthrealm from the Netherrealm armies of Shinnok and Quan Chi." - MK9 Raiden

Who better to bring back from the dead / save from the Soulnado in MK X, than the 1 person who previously stopped the armies of Shinnok and Quan Chi???
Exactly.
Tarkatan Trash, you really think the Elder Gods care about morality? The fact that they could use such a skilled warrior and turn him into the enforcer of their will would be very enticing to the Elder Gods, regardless of his past faults.

Please convince me that the Elder Gods would forgive Bi-Han's actions that led to Shinnok nearly escaping the Netherrealm...where the Elder Gods themselves banished him to in the first place. And for the record, Bi-Han undoing his screw-up did NOTHING to save his soul from damnation to the Netherrealm.

Because Cyrax and Sektor have always been cyborgs. Seeing them as human didn't have much of an impact because we already knew them to be humans at one point.

Sub-Zero being turned into a cyborg for the first time ever, needed to have emphasis. They needed to show us that this was a huge change. Best way to do that? Give him a new look and new moves.

Cyber Sub-Zero could have been HUGE if they handled it right. Unfortunately they didn't and he comes off feeling more like a novelty than anything. To do something so drastic and then revert it back to normal made it feel like it was all for nothing. Cyber Sub-Zero's biggest flaw was his mortality. He only felt useless because he died as quickly as he was created.

I thought Bi-Han went to NR because his soul was tainted.... well whatever the case you have to remember one thing about the elder gods they are a bit strange when they do things. Remember how they would not help Raiden towards the end of MK9 because Kahn himself didnt invade.... basically if Shao Kahn hadnt walked through that portal he could have his army kill every living being on earth and the Elder gods wouldnt have done a damn thing about it. The way they work is just weird sometimes so I could see Subby Wubby (lol it rhymes what a crime..... lol it rhymed again xD) becoming the elder gods champion...... also im sure you remember the deal the elder gods made Scorpion when he became their champion yeahhhhhhhhhhhh the Elder gods are a bunch of A holes

He is one of Shang Tsung's Flesh Pit experiments. He got loose before he was finished.

and that makes perfect sense now. shang tsungs dead so he wouldnt even be able to finish meat if he tried...he dosnt HAVE to be a full fledged playable character but i wouldnt mind seeing him in the story. it wasn't confirmed but im pretty sure that meat makes a cameo in the church arena in mk9. maybe that weird priest that was chillin by him performed some kind of spell that allows meat to stay alive and is also the reason hes able to self mutilate himself.

iv always liked meat for some reason. it pisses me off that NRS just sorta acts like there own characters are no good.

They definitely could have made Meat an alternate costume for everybody like they did in MK4.

Everybody already had a 'Meat model' anyway

He has potential.
Ever since we found out about him being a Flesh Pit experiment, I thought it would be pretty interesting if he turned out to be a failed Shao Kahn clone that Shang Tsung was secretly making.

1.) you didn't mention what moves you wanted to REMOVE you just added so of course I'd be FORCED to take it the way I did.

You said this
I never said that ALL moves HAVE to be in 1 character

After you said this...

For that, why not just make Sub-Zero a faster paced character, with ALL the Sub-Zero moves in 1 character (like Cyrax and Sektor also have in their human counterparts), and just make Cyber Sub-Zero an alternate costume.

with ALL the Sub-Zero moves in 1 character

ALL the Sub-Zero moves in 1

2.) It's not for "NO" reason. The reason is for MORE variety in fighting styles at almost no extra production cost.

i really like the idea of him being an alternate costume for everybody. thats what he was in MK4, so it makes perfect sense. and he could be like some kind of one time fight in the story. im hoping for lots of cameos in this story, kind of like deception...ed boon has been tweeting a little bit about deceptions konquest mode....why would he do that? out of the thousands of things to tweet about.
