Kotal Kahn... a relative of Shao Kahn? The Konqueror himself?

What if Kahn is just the name of the highest power in outworld?

I'm still thinking he's outworlds Raiden.

Ok Shao Kahn is not a protector and never been. He's just a mean asshole. I still think Kotal Kahn has nothing to do with Shao Kahn....
He is definitely a god, I just wonder whether he be a normal god or an elder god?! Shinnok is an elder god, and Raiden became himself an elder god, yet participate in Mortal Kombat. So, he could be. Or just simply be the protector of Outworld. We might see Argus playable too. And the protector gods of the other realms lol.

She most probably meant how benevolent Raiden is and compared the past Shao Kahn to him. Key points "evil emporer"just like raiden at one time. You meet the lady when Shao Kahn was still in rule of outworld, if he was the protector god of outworld then she wouldn't have described Shao Kahn like that. Shao Kahn was one of Onaga's advisers as BBBLP pointed out, we still don't know who the protector god of outworld used to be, the same goes for orderealm. The protector gods of all other major realms have been referenced at some point or the other.
 
Yes, Shao Kahn at that time when you meet the lady is the ruler of Outworld. Happens around the time before the events of MK1. Which means that before he was the "evil emporer" he was just like Raiden.

"Outworld is filled with strange creatures -- and an evil emperor who is said to have been just like Raiden at one time."

Also, Raiden, Lucifer, and Shao Kahn are the same race or come from the same race!


These were the protector gods:

Netherrealm: Lucifer
Edenia: Argus
Earth: Raiden
Orderrealm: ?
Chaosrealm: ?
Outworld: ?

There were 7 Kamidogus (Shinnok's amulet was a Kamidogu created when he was also an elder god)...

True story from what I can tell and read... I'm pretty sure I read that Shao Kahn was the protector of out world in a wiki somewhere. I hope this new Kahn guy isn't his son. I'll be disappointed, unless they have a real good story for it.

And I always was under the impression that he couldn't have a child. Hence Shang tsang creating Mileena.
 
He has to be shao kahns ancestor. Kahn isn't shao kahns title his title is emperor.....emperor shao kahn. he's probably like shao kahns great great granddad or something. you can tell because he looks like an aztec warrior from back in the day so he's had to of been around for a while.

Shao Kahn was an advisor to Onaga.

As for the creation of Mileena, that had nothing to do with inability to have children and everything to do with covering his ass in the event of possibly being betrayed by his adopted child (which eventually happened).

Then if this Kotal dude is his child, why not just bring him in from the start? I don't see why this guy would be related to Shao. No reason for it apart from the "Kahn" part of their name.
 
Shao Khan was a evil,ruthless,relentless,dangerous,treacherous & powerful emperor,he ruled Outworld,kidnapped Princess Kitana,controlled Sindel,made her his slave & in the movie Mortal Kombat Annihilation he killed/murdered Johnny Cage.
