Tryning to guess who will be the final boss...

IMB4 Mokap for final boss.

But seriously I think it will be that old good guy turns evil guy kind of thing, my bets are Liu Kang and Raiden,but I also consider Shinnok, but that wouldn´t be such a surprise.
 
if memory serves me right after kang died, raiden transported cage,sonya, and himself away leaving kangs body, quan chi then turned up and spoke to lord shinnok, i believe they probably resurrected him
 
Liu Kang being the bad guy is like middleschool writing level bad, lets pray to god that no one suggesting that is right. :V

The one big thing I see suggested that actually makes sense is Onaga coming back as the...

Honestly its probably the only thing that would make me happy seeing as Im still bitter about MK due to the lazy writing of the past couple games and their continued disregard for plot holes.
 
Maybe Shinnok starts of as the Bad but gets killed off by the "big bad" at this point I really have no idea but im inclined to think its Onaga

I think Onaga is not popular enough ! By adding a lots of new characters, NRS is taking some risks in term of sellings... i'm sure the "Big Bad" will be a well-know character of the series !

I still bet for Raiden (Dark Raiden, maybe...) !

I highly doubt it's Onaga. But I don't think it's "Dark" Raiden either. There's no reason thus far for Raiden to even go down that road.

I still think the big bad will be Shinnok. Or he will at the very least take on the same role as Shang Tsung in MK9.

I don't really believe in Shinnok... why not Reiko ? It could be logical, if MKX follow the path of the MK4 storyline !

MK9 sets Shinnok up as the next big bad. It would be incredibly sloppy and irresponsible of them to not go down that route. Even if Shinnok isn't the final boss, he still should be involved in a big way.

Mileena being the final boss would certainly be interesting. Though how would she come into so much power to even be considered a threat on the same level as Kahn or Shinnok?

Well, I do remember when I was playing Konquest mode in MKD, I fought an almost impossible to beat Mileena who's like 10 times stronger and 10 times have the health power as a normal Mileena.

I would also like Tanya as a boss considering her MKD ending.

Nitara would be awesome as that Blood Goddess in MKA.
 
Fortunately Noob was a sub-boss in MK:D so that rules him out from the "surprise" element, same for Shinnok/Quan Chi/Onaga.

I guess at this point Dark Raiden/Liu Kang are the best bets, unless they decide to turn another good character evil and powerful, or they give an evil character even more power (Sindel, Mileena, Sektor, Kano, Baraka)...
 
I would say the final boss will be SHAO KHAN,many times he get beaten or be destroyed he comes right back from the dead,I believe he's going to develop dark power & the Mortal Kombat kombatants must do whatever it takes to stop & neutralize SHAO KHAN.
 
Who knows, maybe with the timeline spanning up to 25 yrs there might be a few "Big Bads"...just a thought

*Also my money is on Shinnok just bc of how MK9 ended
*But maybe Mileena does take over the thrown since Shao Kahns punishment from the Elder Gods and then Shinnok invades like he said he would!
*To be honest after what happened to Liu Kang, i think it would be a Great twist if he did so in fact survivor the "attack" from Raiden that he becomes the new Big Bad
*Or maybe it is Onaga in his Original body

The speculations are endless...isn't this fun LMAO!
