... Ok, you win.

but the stage with random corners and walls sounds badass, but what if a character has a great zoning game and good rush down like Kabal in MK10?

First off any character like that shouldn't be above average in both like Kabal is.

I mean he can flash parry combo punish like Jade's EX glow

He can pressure like JC

He can zone better than Kitana.

Someone like Kabal in MK10 SHOULDN'T exist because a character of his type should be "moderate" in all aspects.

I think kunglao At the moment is the best example of this.

Kung lao does a bit of everything but he's average in everything.
 
1. Give every character a string with a low and a medium thats bufferable into a special. (they dont have to be a 50/50 like quan-chi's just a string that has a medium and a string that has a low) its just ridiculous how unbalanced mk9 is. You cant even keep adequate pressure with some of the characters, johnny is just ridiculous along with mr. broken aka kabal.(if in the hands of a good enough player)
2. a less bulky subzero or his mkd cryomancer costume. and give the guy a better damn moveset because he gets zoned so bad its not even funny.
3. dont put armor on pop-up moves. armor on scorpions ex leg grab is not the same as armor on jades whatever it is that bounces you.
4. If any of you really noticed they went DEEP with this story...cyrax and sektor were humans...and the death bi han. (though scorpion was already dead.) so keep it up with the story.
5. keep human smoke.
6. CINEMATIC LADDER ENDINGS. come on..you all know you loved it from mk4.
7. go all out on everyones costumes and dont just make scorpions the most awesome thing ever.
8. someone said xray fatalities....i would LOVE that. smokes fatalities were pretty lackluster, as with a bunch others..but some were awesome.
9. someone also said a gimmicky game mode...to be honest they kind of need that...even though its a serious game, you need to have something else to relax with and play.
10. just an overall MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH GRITTIER GRUESOME game..make it BRUTAL and dark.

Cinematic endings? I've been wanting those for the longest but I think since we have a legit story mode now with cinematic cutscenes, making arcade endings cinematic as well would be kinda unnecessary considering most of them would be non-canonical, anyway

With that said, I still don't want the importance of arcade endings to be diminished now that we actually have a story mode. A solution to that would be to do the same exact thing they did in the 3D MK games. What they did in those games was that the Konquest mode detailed the events leading up to the main conflict of the story, while the arcade endings handled the actual conclusion of the story. For example, Konquest in Deadly Alliance told everything that was going on during the Deadly Alliance's attempts to resurrect the Dragon King's army, while the arcade endings told the defeat of the Deadly Alliance/conclusion to the overall story (or just theiir stories in particular). Apply the former for the story mode by making the story all about the events that lead up to Shinnok invading the realms, and then have the arcade endings show the defeat of Shinnok by the selected character or any other conclusion to the story

....kabal is broken...hes adequate in ever play style, the game is unbalance...subzero is slow as dirt and is SUPPOSED to do massive damage while cyrax can basically end you off of one meter. Smoke has NO low moves besides the basics, and cant combo out of a teleport like scorpion and ermac. Subzero, ermac, reptile, cyrax, and others also have no bufferable lows like luikang, kunglao, kabal, quan chi, im not sure about sonya, shang tsung, cyber subzero, sindel, baraka, sektor...seriously...the other characters have NO mix up game.. how could you ignore that like im an idiot?

put subzero against an awesome saibot, reptile, kabal, kitana, jesus i dont even need to make a list. you arent getting to them unless you have meter, and once hes in you cant keep awsome pressure agains someone who knows what theyre doing.

you shouldnt be able to full combo off an armored move, jax has armor, but the move isnt a pop up, it ends there, jade pops you up, rain kicks you up for a combo. sonya pops you up.
 
I wouldn't go about and say that Kabal is broken, just like everybody in the game he;s beatable.

I main Sub and speed isn't everything when it comes to using him, Sub's Mix-up games doesn't revolve around hitting High/low, instead it about making them commit into his pressure strings and dealing damage, sub has Armor on EX slide so meter managment is key against beating Saibot, and Kitana, once he gets them into the corner and he keeps them in the corner he can win the match.

Smoke has the fastest overhead in the game man, and so what if he can't combo off a teleport he has other tools that covers that flaw, and what do you mean by bufferable lows? and everyone has a mix-up game.. Hit confirming off Lows/ Highs do not create a mix-up game..

Something as simple as delaying a Clone off a string with Sub Zero cause them to Jump into it is considered a mix-up, and not comboing off Armor attacks? Are you dumb kid? So you're basicly saying you'd like to be stuck in cages pressure with no help at all, the game isn't broken. You're just butt hurt, that's all.

There should be a setting that allows there to be no blood or fatalities in the game rather than having two players type in a code before the match.

Kintaro and Shao Kahn should taunt less. Even on the hardest difficulty, they taunt way to many times, making them very vulurnable and easy to beat.

Shang Tsung should have the ability to become any character rather than just the opponent he's facing.

There should be more of those fatalities that required two separate inputs for it to happen. Like in MK2, where Sub-Zero first freezes them, then he smashes them into peices.

You don't understand what it means to have a fighting game be diverse do you?

JADE has armor on her combo starter BECAUSE she has a weak upclose game. Johnny cage has a GREAT upclose game, because he has the WORSE far away/mid screen game.


I think you need to settle down a second and ask how to beat these things you're upset about instead of asking for them to be removed.

dude you are so raging right now for so many wrong reasons.

Smoke has THE FASTEST teleport. So as a negative for being quicker than ermac or scorpion (who can only combo off theirs from an anti air btw) his is only used as a combo ender.

not really sure why you're upset about his teleport not combo'ing. He's got HUGE damage like Cyrax to make up for his lack of lows in a string. and limited teleport punch.

He has great crossups with smoke away and smoke towards to mix up and make people attack in the wrong direction/whiff. He can at anytime during pressure where he thinks you'll do something smoke bomb fo rhuge damage. He can combo huge damage off a anti air jab and anti cross up D1 into smoke bomb.

So crying about the fact he has no lows in a string is irrelevant.

What you're doing right now is wanting every character to be shaped the way YOU WANT to play them.

Well sorry, but I like the diversity in MK9. Every game out there is imbalanced. The key is to making as many of them viable as possible and I say MK does that very well. Top 8 at every national is very diverse.

Jade and RAIN

They have COMBO armor starters because RAIN SUCKS AT POKING but has ok pressure.

Jade has CRAPPY PRESSURE but really good poking.

Because of these weaknesses their play style is based on using METER to start a combo.

How is that something to be upset about when other characters can get combos going w/o metere?

You need a hard look at the game. You are just raging at everything you don't understand.
 
1) A much darker, grittier feel. Like Deception had. And no Babalities or Friendships or anything like that.
2) Change Baraka's moveset a little. He's my favourite character and I'd like to see a little more variety in his special moves. Buff him up a bit too.
3) A more menacing announcer. Like Deception or MK vs DC.
4) Unlockable characters. I miss those days.
5) No more ninjas please. We have enough. Some new characters (that don't suck) would be great though.
6) As much as I hate DLC, MK 10 will obviously have some. I'd like to see a little more than just four characters, maybe some new modes or something, something that affects the game more as a whole.
7) That awesome sound that would come up on Deadly Alliance to Armageddon when you had almost no health left.
8) Less slutty outfits. I'm fine with Mileena looking like that, but I think Kitana and Jade (especially Kitana) should actually wear something.
9) Havik, Kai, Drahmin (PLEASE?) and Skarlet for the roster (and change her design slightly please). No Frost. Please no.
10) A netcode that doesn't suck ass, and a replay feature.

Might I add to your pretty cool list

(Minus the unlockable characters) Last thing I really want is to go to a offline tournament where someoen didn't unlock somebody.

1.) WAY more diverse costumes please. I'm talking like 4-5 legit ones and 1 silly one.
2.) Color customization? Like you can't customize their looks by changing clothes or anything but you can change colors of the characters to sort of customize them?
3.) Online Modes:
a.) tournament where you can actually pay through PSN or Xbox with cash, in a online tournament. Wouldn't that be sick?
b.) Free tournaments as well
c.) A grading system similar to Starcraft 2 for Ranked MATCHES.
How this works?
Well You'll have lets say we'll use test your might difficulties as an example.

Wood league (Where all the noobs are, Wood league players will always fight other wood league players until they get good enough/enough wins to fight a few Stone league players. If they beat enough stone league players they can move up to stone league.)

Thus making everyone happy because they will only fight people their skill level most of the time. Add more leniency if someone's been waiting a while.

That way you can judge how boss someone is by their league "oh snap that guy's diamond league"

ect ect.

d.) Team matches up to 4v4. Where once you lose 2 matches (not rounds) you're out. And the next member of your team goes in.

e.) Tag with friends online not just share the same console.

f.) Have some sort of punishment feature for people who disconnect. Either straight give them a loss, or perhaps make them fight other disconnectors at a higher frequency.

g.) More interesting game modes like KotH.

I remember WAY back in the day did Raiden have a similar one?

I remember doing this input and it would go into that fatality drum roll, but then raiden did something super simple like uppercut them.

Was i suppose to do more to keep it going?
 
You must be referring to Raiden's Explosive Uppercut fatality

You had to hold Low Kick down for 3 seconds, then after releasing you had to tap Block and Low Kick together until the explosion happens, IIRC

How would you guys feel if Fatalities were done the same way Blazblue does Astral finishes?

In blazblue you need 100% heat. (it would be like full meter). And your opponent would need to be near death percent like less than 25% for Mortal kombat? It would require a crazy input, but if you land it it's instant kill and leads into a fatality. If they avoid it, you get some sort of negative penalty and lose your meter. "Only works on Game point"

I think this would add a more "OOF" factor into the fatalities.

I wouldn't mind it, and how about 15% health? For the health requirement plus it'll add more hyped to tournament matches and matches online. Plus if I wanna be a douche online I could go for them in ranked matches.
 
I want a more calm announcer.
Shaolin Monks had hands down the best announcer in MK history. Even beating MKII & 3.


The calmer ones like in II, 3 & SM sound more like a master is announcing the fight, and not some hyped up retard in the audience.
