I never called him a lier. i said why would he lie lol. I personally think the patch has mucked up at some point :o.

Yes but theres video proof the MK2 attract mode is wrong for gods sake, its not just my experience of it it will be everyones. I apologise for calling him a liar but it appears he has just been promoting NRS despite facts on the game, defending them when really is no excuse for the piece of trash patch that has taken 3 months to make. What happened to long testing process etc? The online is better and the stretch option is nice but this patch is a slap in the face to every MK Fan out there, plain and simple

Sorry i think you have a right to trash an admin of a site posting false info. Running a site isn't trolling son and information should be totally accurate and written clearly.
As i've said before alot of things happen on this site to keep NRS sweet in order to get free stuff and give aways. Threads posing bad rep to NRS been closed etc.
Nothing wrong with that as it your job, but i find it strange that the man who closed down the MKAK Patch Officially Announced thread due to false information has compiled a patch list and new thread containing false information.
 
Was looking very forward to this patch :/. Now i don't want it that much.......UNLESS this was just a muck up and that the European version of mkak had little more work added. Maybe this isn't the patch at all. did boon even release the list. I thought McCarron only added what he found in V1.02?

Nah dude this is the patched version, face it. The uk version when started prompts you to download the patch. Allthough I pray your right and I am wrong
 
LOL. didnt NRS DEMAND us to give them credit. You really think we are going to give them credit for a stretched screen. and online lag fix? god they could have fixed atleast the MK2 soundtracks. It doesn't feel like good old MK2 without the amazing atmosphere of the game. Just feels spammy and rubbish hopefully not forever. So much for ARCADE PERFECT.

Trolling? Trying to give us the information we want is trolling? I'm sorry, but the only problem I'm seeing with what he said, assuming he played the very same exact release as you, is that the definition of "attract mode" is more ambiguous than we originally thought.

Threads aren't closed because they reflect negatively on NRS. Sure, threads of that nature have been closed, but that's never been why they were closed. The originally patch thread was closed because it turned into little more than an aimless circle jerk among a handful of overly negative members that just wanted to run the topic into the ground. Any thread that goes in that direction, regardless of its slant or whether or not it even pertains to MK, NRS, WB or video games in general, will eventually get locked.
 
I still reckon that the european patch has messed up at some point.

Lets just wait until the xbox and the US patch comes out. imagine if it was perfect? what would you all be like? lol

I honestly find it hard to believe that a thread would get locked for people voicing their opinions. None of that thread was out of line and all justified.
An off course hes played the exact same release as me, there is no other release yet for gods sake. You can try and defend it all you want son, but this has obviously been orchestrated to create buzz and sell more copys of the EU MKAK end of story. I am honestly shocked how you can still defend this after 3 months and utter BS from NRS. Hopefully as Noob Saibot 2011 says somthing may have gotten mixed up in the patch. Unless it was that i have the unpatched version and the patched version on my HDD at time of playing. Again a long shot. i reckon the issues are the reason they are holding back the patch to the rest of the world. This game has been ruined beyond repair and its reputation will keep new buyers well away despite. I think the casual EU may well have had enough, Late MK9 Dlc, Late MKAK and a lame excuse for a patch. I love the MK series but this makes me loose faith.

I would jump for joy, but take none of this back. You know its not gonna happen. Its gonna be wait wait wait and still a messed up patch. If you want the true MKAK experience minus a patch, play on an old tv, brightness down and with beer and friends. Its the only way

There is nothing wrong with voicing opinions, but you've iterated the exact same point several times. I believe your points have been made; therefore, there is no need to continue and make your points over and over.

Here is what I understand from your posts. You're not happy with the updates that were made. You expected that Other Ocean and NRS would fix everything. You want an arcade perfect port because at some point in time Ed Boon said it was going to be arcade perfect.

I think that no matter how much more effort Other Ocean puts into this game, you are not going to be happy. The expectations were set too high and - unfortunately - they did not, and still have not delivered on these expectations. I have no idea what the scope of the patch was, but obviously, judging by what was fixed, the scope did not contain everything you identified as an issue.

I will admit that our patch analysis wasn't as in-depth as you would like. There were many things that we were trying to document in order to have something up as soon as possible. We mentioned that the MK2 attract mode "sounds proper" because it sounded so much better than before but didn't take the time to notice that it still jumps around. We documented what we found different within the few hours we played the updated version. We think issues like online play were the most glaring issues and we noted that, along with several other cosmetic changes. Yes, some things are still broken, but this patch makes the game a lot better.

Now when you make "conspiracy" allegations regarding collusion between NRS and TRMK, that is crossing the line. I can understand with your opinions how you can jump to that conclusion, but doing so takes your argument to a place where we cannot enter a debate with you. We have a keen interest in making sure that the Mortal Kombat franchise continues to survive and move forward. If you want to make accusations of collusion and conspiracy, this is not the place.

If you are still upset with the game after the patch, then you have every right to be upset. What I don't understand is how we are responsible for the game not living up to your expectations. I will not tolerate any type of berating of our staff members on any of our forums. Feel free to voice your opinions. But when you resort to personal attacks, that type of behavior is unacceptable and I will not allow that to occur here.

Right point taken, as i have named one individual who wrote the article, i apologize and do not mean it as a "personal attack". I do not blame you or any of your staff for the game/patch been lackluster, what annoys me is posting false information which you now have kindly crossed out. I'm not at all mad about the depth of patch notes either. I'm a little mad with TRMK posting false information then reading contradicting information. I didn't believe but couldn't wait so bought the EU version also. Need to say, along with a lot of fans was very disappointed.

When you post something indicating audio glitches sounding proper that would imply to not just me, but a lot of people that issues have been fixed that minus "get over here" have not been fixed nor do they sound any better than before despite what you say.

I am not a angry type or a bully and apologize to Patrick i was out of line for naming him. I and quite a few others I'm sure have run into "personal attacks" from supposed unbiased moderators of your forums, who to be fair come across as extremely opinionated folk who will pick on anything that they do not share the same opinion on.

To quote some thing i saw not naming any one "You'd have more luck getting an unbiased perspective on things by visiting the official Mortal Kombat page. I don't know if they're hoping to get jobs out of it, free copies of games, or what, but all they ever do is take the corporate line on everything and abuse their moderation abilities to try to crush any reasonable questions or criticisms." As you have done here. Aiming to turn round your staffs errors and short comings in attempting to politely turn me into a bully or villain character.

Yes i was out of line , but hat also is out of line is posting false information in order to promote a product despite been in accurate and not looked at entirely. Its honestly not something i have come to expect from this site.

Although i should have waited for the patch i decided to buy the product again wasting money to find out the truth about what had been patched and hoping that it was another troll on the site.

Sad to say i was hoping to be surprised, just not surprised in this way.

As you should know after 15 years of running a site, MK fans are passionate bunch. Die hard fans.

Posting something about audio. which was a huge issue to a lot of people ,is a big thing. It could and has warranted a second purchase for those who cannot wait for the patch, buying the EU version and a new one for those who haven't yet bought it, issues like audio holding them back from doing so.

Again i am sorry for launching a supposed personal attack on Patrick McCarron.

I think we both can learn a lesson from this, think before we post.
 
At this point all we can do is wait and see if Ed responds to any of this. Twitter bomb him until he does, i say. Fixing the online was great, but if the audio is truly still jacked and that pause menu glitch is also still there (although not as frequent), then its truly a bunch of bs. I do find it odd though that the US PSN, and Xbox users havent got the patch yet...as much as id hate to see it, they should hold off the update again and fix it right.

perhaps the audio is actually truly lost for ever, the PS3 or XBOX 360 simply is not powerful enough to emulate the space age and futuristic sounds created by the synthesizers used in MK1 and 2.
