it's pretty east to tell if someone mains kung lao because they like him: he's the first character they run to. . .without the hidden cursor nonsense.

fair call, but i just cant play like that, gets boring.
i feel im using my char to his full potential when im using ALL his combo's for all the little situations they're meant for.

sure there's one combo that works in most situations, but the way the chars are designed, they have combo's for very specific situations,
and i pride my self on learning those

Example: cyber sub has a 2hit combo that's only real purpose is to let him combo into an xray in the corner.

It all depends on how I feel.
If I'm bored I will prolly be cheap cuz I don't care and don't wanna think or try to hard to get a win or I picked random select on a super cheap online character.
If I get a message saying I'm a one move homosexual or now that a particular move is getting under there skin, cuz they message me about that one move regardless if I'm using the whole movelist and custom kombos or not, I will only use that move when the time is right. Freaking block and counter my move, usually doesn't happen though.

99% of the time I play fair though. Losing doesn't bother to the point if rage quitting or hatemailing. I usually don't say anything or I complement them.
 
regarding kung lao. i've liked him since the first trailer. and because people have labled him "cheap" i don't use him as a number one character. but if i fight a strong opponent with my main and lose, why shouldn't i be able to fall back to my second main ?
 
I'm an honorable player. I use kitana and she isn't that high in the tiers. BUT....I can be HUUUGGEEEE ******* lol. if ur a spammer, a quitter or a boring player, expect to be teaggbagged left and right and ill start "dancing" lol(switching stances left and right). I do the same thing when I win against ppl like that. and then I will expose you in the chat room for the scrub you are lol. but if I'm johnny, I'm an automatic douche, since that's his personality lol. if I manage to have an xray at the end of the fight, I use it because that the closest thing to a taunt in the game. the. I either do his 2nd fatality, just to let them kno who the winner is lol or I do a babality, jus to let them kno I beat em without blocking. then I wait for them to press yes on the rematch screen and I press no lol..douchebag-ness to the max. the hate mail I get is ridiculous lol. but I'm an honorable player most of the time. just don't spam, lag, quit, be boring, or let me pick johnny
 
Im a Honorable player

Why?

1) i rarely every send H8 mail... If i do you have to really really really Piss me off Or im just having a bad day.

2) Tea bagging, Dancing , Jumping Etc... I think its dumb and Pointless so i dont do it.

3) 9/10 times after everymatch i tell my opponet GG :) (Yes with the Smiley to show that im not just saying it Just to be saying it, But trying to be friendly)

4) alot of People Mileena Is cheap and Talk is cheap, and actions speak louder than words. So i just ignore them

5) I like turtles :D
 
Here's how you fight with honor in MK.

Before you pick your character, send a pm to your opponent and ask for a guideline of what you can and cannot do.

Can I pick X character?
Can I use a special move more than once?
Can I poke you?
Can I get you in the corner?
Do you mind if I use the same combo twice?
Do you mind if I press any buttons?

Now after you get the reply, pick your character, start the match and make sure you let your opponent win.

Do not forget to send another pm afterwards to compliment your opponent on his/her hard earned honorable victory.

ha ha whenever i kick ass i act like i'm trying to do a fatality then just throw a special move at them also i wouldn't call myself the most fair/honorable player

I play this game to kick ass. Fvck that teabag/honour/spam/rush/i do this/i do that crap. Just play the game ffs.
 
honorable, I guess. I never quit mid game, unless connection boots me, and a don't hate mail people, and stuff like that.
Fair, maybe. I don't know what happens, if I just get panicked or something, but when I play online, all I remember is like 1 combo and my main's Specials, so I use like 213,334 or 12 B+1 dash x 3 then uppercut, and his special moves. I never win, though, so I guess I'm a fair player.
 
you wanna hear a bad player? i got corner raped by some f@g while playing freddy. looks like his nightmares came true cause in 2nd/3rd round i kicked his ass

Online raidens teleport is a bit of a problem as it has a unique issue. Other then that I sense a theme...easy high damage? Are you one of those players who take pride in there tailormade 30% combo and scoff at the community provided 40%? Handicap yourself that's fine. Don't ***** that othersw done.
Or the Ermacs who just run to the corners and wait for you to do a move? You now what I mean; either spamming projectiles, running to the corners, blocking and standing there, applying some cheap tactic they discovered, etc.

Omfg are you serious? He's a freaking zoner/punisher if you played fighting games at all you'd understand then why ermac players do that. Spamming projectiles=zoning. If your using the players you are they DON'T WANT TO BE CLOSE TO YOU especially jax. They will def hold block down vs smoke if they are smart cuz smoke has no good lows. Run to the corner cuz it threatens a reversal for corner traps/combos. And cheap tactics? Just because you haven't figured out how to get past it doesn't mean cheap....the word your looking for is effective.

So that brings the question, would you consider yourself a fair/honorable player at this game?

I'm fair. I assume everyone knows how to play and thus try my best. I don't use turbo functions or actual broken mechanics such as gauranteed resets or glitches/infinites.

For me, yes. For starters, my 2 main characters are Jax ("bottom" tier) and Smoke. I don't think anyone can complain if they lost to a character like Jax. In fact, I've received messages from people praising me and giving me "props" because he's not that used and they never seen one as good as mine. As for Smoke, my play style is incredibly aggressive. I'm always the one who has to attack first and keep the battle going if the opponent is a duck. I also never used the Smoke "OTG" Bomb, which is the closest think to a cheap/broken technique that Smoke has had.

Jax being low tier isn't an excuse. This is a fairly balanced game. Jax has SICK closegame. Most chars will opt to zone you out because of this...or as you said...spam. as for smoke. That's why you run to the corner. Bait out your tele to punish you with the corner game. Its a strategy.. also otg combo is fixed lest you use the. Classic costume.

Finally, I don't to stupid crap at the end of a fight like "teabagging" or other stuff, because, well, it's absolutely pathetic. Oh, and I never quit.

. I agree teabagging is poor taste. And quitting early...unless they have a real reason its pretty rude.

So in short, yeah, I'd consider myself a fair player at this game. I don't exploit bugs/cheap techniques", I never spam (because we all know how useless that is with someone who knows how to play Smoke), and I respect the opponent when they also play fairly. If I get a gg message, I reply back most of the time.

Id consider yourself a player that intentionally handicaps themselves then uses the dillusioned idea that *well...there being cheap I'm a honorable player*. Honorable is never turning down a challenge. Its overcoming difficulties not labeling them cheap. Its even after losing/winning vs a player whether they spammed/did high damage ccombos or did something you found cheap...you say gg. There is very little way to be dikshonorable in this game unless using mechanics that are obviously broken (like the ones I listed). Teabagging/ragequitting/hatemail are the other ways.

I'm betting your a decent player. I'm betting your a good person. But don't for one moment think your honorable/fair play post extends past your own ideals/handicaps you have made for yourself for this game. Yes there are people that agree with your ideals. And you can have them idc. But most of the things you listed are not actually cheap or dishonorable...not by a mile. <3. Hope I didn't come off as too harsh. If I am. Try to realize I don't intend to be too mean. Good luck kicking ass with jax. Always nice to see one around.

Yes I am honorable. I do everything honorably, like no tea baggings and stuff.

But yes, I do korner kombos.
