lol ye my first mk game was i belive the one on the ps2 deadly alliance i believe but then i played every one after that im just saying he seems similar and feels

P.S can u delete the post Voncroy where theirs a gap between my 2 reserves plz and thx plus rep for the info

Just saying about freddy, I have all of his movies, And His Furnace fatality is very similiar to the one when He killed the child in right?

i have all of freddy's movies as well. but...this freddy looks...weird. way more muscle, heads kinad tiny, claws way to big and hes only supposed to have one claw as it is, he has NEVER had 2...

but...i will buy him, and ill probably main him on the basis that its "supposed" to be freddy. cuz i have a soft spot.

whats funny is in the original movies he was originally intended to be a pedophile but during hte making of hte original film there was a actual pedophile case going around in california and they decided to edit it to child murderer instead.

the new movie brings back the old unused story of him being a pedophile killer tho.

i preferred the old one >.>

imaging giving him a special that gives him armor for like 5 seconds, plus fatalities would be way better with his grusome style.

Now that I got used to Freddy, the ONLY thing i dislike in his gameplay is his teleport. He actually seems to have lots of lows, but I'm not sure if another teleport character was necessary... I don't even remember, do Freddy teleport himself in the movies?

hes not realy a big teleporter he ports more like smoke away or ahead not in back

Reminds me of Kenshi teleport though...

I want to know his storyline in MK9. Honestly, realistically, Freddy is not the scariest character in MK if you think of tarkatans or shokans, but their roles in the storyline was so hilarious that it's good to have a serious creepy character...

With Freddy, you know Jason is on the way, which means a second wave of DLC characters...

its better then having another teleporter that gets in back of u and i think it kinda suites him hes moving thru the dream world and can pass projectiles XD

I rather the new one. I thought it was more of a horror story, and it was a good story. Watched it like 10 times already.

Anyways, nice thread. Can't wait for his release

stupid? you sir are not a freddy fanatic. ive watched all the old ones countless times. he has ALWAYS had one claw, giving him two is rediculous.

and depending on which story they go with hes either a pedophile (new movie) or a child murderer (old movies).

also you can like the new movie all you want, it was both less funny and less scary for me. freddy always had a bit of humor in him, and they took it away with the new movie.

lol sorry everyone. ill keep it to gameplay from now on.

his furnace fatality was cool. and im curious to see how useful that low walking claw (reminiscent of the new nightmare movie with the mechanical hand) will be.

But aside from the two claws thing I hate that it's the new freddy look (I will give them that the voice work was totally ****ing scary as shit in the new one that was an improvement) If they were to put freddy put classic freddy.......with one claw :P

And for a guy that can do stuff to you in your dreams those are lame fatalities. I was hoping for something like he knocks the person out and then they start getting hacked and mauled and pieces cut off and stuff, or something more. The furnace is cool on face value it will get old after like 3 times, idk about his other one i haven't gone either way with it.

One thing that confuses me about this though, aside from WHY?!?!?!?, is why WB's did Freddy? They have quite a bit of other properties out there that wouldn't be out of place (DC is a HUGE pool to pull from) and freddy has nothing coming out and nightmare on elm street isn't all that recent, so this doesn't drive up hype, interest or sales (maybe a smidge..) So either NRS was like "pretty pwease can we do freddy?" or WB has big plans to push out new freddy stuff :/

I can understand why Freddy is given two claws. It gives him more symmetry in his design. Otherwise, he would be magically switching claw hands like Vega in SF4; actually it would be worse since MK9 characters can switch stances while being on the same side of the screen. Considering the alternative, might as well get used to the two claws.

I don't understand how having one claw one one hand would cause the issues you describe flawless. Least not in mk9. It would've been cool imo. Having moves that hit with his fist and others with the claw.

Plus they are so big they look kinda goofy.

I am curious to see the type of char he plays as. The smokeish teleport. Low claw run like low hat/ground saw. Claw comes from underfeet similar too?...hellfire? I dunno
