So what is your wish-list for MK10? I know that MK10 is probably a long ways away, but it can't hurt to compile what we want into a single thread.
-For Sub-Zero and Scorpion to be MIA in MK10. I know this will still probably never happen, but wishful thinking right?
-For the characters that received minor roles in MK9, to play bigger parts and get their own story mode chapters in MK10 (Mileena, Baraka, Reptile, Sektor, Kano, Sheeva, etc.) Story-wise, this shouldn't be hard, as in MK9 all the heroes died and became servants to Quan Chi, so essentially creating a role-reversal with the characters. The former heroes become villains and the former villains become heroes.

But here's my list:

Large emphasis on the Scorpion-Sub-Zero-Noob Saibot story.

Sektor a main villain.

Shujinko, Kai and Fujin main heroes.

Quan Chi gets his ass kicked, the MK team has been riding his nuts since MK:DA.

Rain finally gets a story.

Liu Kang a bad guy, Shang Tsung (out of desperation) a good guy.

Bo Rai Cho no longer a drunk bastard, but a wise instructor.

Motaro resurrection.

Baraka & Reptile story expanded.

Good Ermac, I've never seen bad Ermac before MK9, I don't like it.

1) more stage fatalities
2) story mode that is not cheesy
3) maybe just like two COMPLETELY NEW characters introduced
4) and as you said, I would like to see some characters have a larger role. Reptile has so much potential for a fleshed out back story instead of just being a silent servant.
 
What do you have against Sub-Zero and Scorpion?

They have the most interesting stories in Mortal Kombat.

Is it because they are over-used?

I agree 100% precent with you! Especially with Noob/Sub/Scorpion story has so much more that could change and although I like human Sub I say keep him a cyborg and improve on him.

Make Kai the new "Chosen One" :) as he was originally intended to be and like you say make Lui Kang bad IF he somehow lives
 
1. All MK9 characters (incl. DLC) return.
2. No more babalities and other jokes.
3. Sareena! (if not MK9 DLC)
 
Raiden no longer an Elder God.

Cyber Sub-Zero as a permanent character but eventually killed. (I feel like turning him into a robot actually made sense and NRS should stick with their decision.)

Liu Kang an Elder God and turned evil.

Johnny Cage being more serious and the bad ass he was at the end of his MK9 ladder story.

Ermac training Kenshi.

All of The Black Dragon making appearances (Tremor FINALLY making his official PERMANENT debut)

An awesome black guy.

Sheeva dead, tossed in a river, and never to come back.

MAYBE a scorpion and Subby duo.

Shinnok

Reiko taking Shinnok's place and being the most ultimate MK boss in history.

Sonya and Cage having a kid :) (to be in MK11)
 
-35+ characters (including 5-7 brand new characters)
-Healthy mix of MK9 and post-UMK3 characters
-2 X-Rays per character (different varieties, applications, ect.)
-More fatalities
-Shinnok
-Baraka fixed so he's no longer low tier

Kitana and Jade not being dead. That is the only thing that is important to me. Kill of Cage and Sonya if you need to, I really don't care.

Cyber Subz and Kabal returning would also be nice.

-Costumes being judged based on characters; Mileena and Skarlet have reasons to dress like strippers, Jade, Sonya, Kitana, and Sindel do not. Every woman in the game is a pornstar, and every man looks like he has been taking steroids since he hit puberty. No one should be as big as Jax, to begin.

-Online Practice Mode.

-Online Test your Luck.
 
would you guys be pissed off if they had as much characters in MK10 as Armageddon?

I know it would be excessive, but I just hate it when they leave out characters.
sure it worked in MK3, but that was back when they were better at making original characters.
I dont think they could get any worse than the MK Deception characters, and I dont want them to risk it. They might as well just bring everyone back again, but try to make some crappy characters somewhat cool this time around.

I'd be cool if everyone who died stayed dead.

I love them, I honestly do.

But I REALLY think the post UMK3 characters deserve a second chance.

All of them, except Kobra :)

All of this but why should Liu Kang be a villian? Don't tell me you're a Liu Kang hater too?

I think Baraka is fine how he is now, not sure if that would be considered "Jax Buff". Kano could stand some slimming down, I agree.

It is a very interesting twist, though. Also, God Liu Kang from his ending is just too sexy not to use.

WAIT!!?!?!? So your saying you would rather have them take Kobra out but keep Hsu Hao!?!?! There is no fixing Hsu Hao lol

They are interesting, but I'm sick of them. Don't get me wrong Scorpion and Sub Zero are badass, but they're EVERYWHERE. They're even on the cover and the game's not about just them.
