It isn't about contests and glory my friend. I am not a pro, my knowledge in GFX is limited. I am just trying to help some members to add some colors to their posts and promote good behavior for new comers. Hopefully they will return the favor by not trolling in this forum.

lol sorry, I didn't mean it sound like a challenge XD. It's just that when there's a general interest in GFX and there's more than four or so contest's come up. They really aren't anything more than a challenge to yourself.

That's how I started getting good with Gimp/Photoshop was challenging myself. Then one day after messing with quite a few different effects I finally made something that clicked.

this is still one of my favorite things I've done. And I one a few here and there then basically retired and started making the Trophy sigs XD (Ahh, those were the days :P)

But sig contests are usually really casual in my experience even on hardcore GFX sites. Any effort is always appreciated and you never know what you'll make in if you enter a contest. Sotw contests are the most popular version.

Coincidently a raiden sig was one my earliest things I did. lol

lol. That was a signature from like four years ago. I also found an old Sub Zero one I made. I've gotten much better. The only reason it looks pretty good is because I got some pretty flexible thunder brushes and added some glow.
