WB releases press info with update on pre-order info

I only wish all these exclusive dlc gets in the store for sale!
since i'm living in the netherlands and we don't seem to get a thing

Unlock codes for XBL can be used worldwide. I am not sure about PSN, although I recall reading that you just have to change your region in your account settings.

Most European Xbox 360 games can be played on NTSC Xbox 360s and vice-versa. Play-Asia.com has the full region compatability list.

I'm betting that most/all of the DLC will be available to everyone, you just won't get it for free if you don't buy it from the right place and preorder it.

I'm betting the same thing. I really don't think NRS would completely screw us out of some awesome content just because we didn't buy the right version at the right retailer.

Besides, not that anyone cares about that crappy game, but ModNation Racers did the same thing and gave out Nathan Drake, Kratos, and Ratchet as preorder-exclusive DLC for those 3 separate retailers, but they became available for paid downloads later on.

I think it would be awesome if it unlocked the costumes, and fatalities from the time you play the game, instead of you unlocking them yourselves so we all have the costumes and fatalities!

Ive got a new question. Let say I have 3 friends. One buys from gamestop one buys from best buy and i buy from amazon.com
we all get our codes from each store. Could we all use the same codes to get each classic costume and fatality for all of us or only 1 code per game?

Pre-order codes are one-time use things. Once they are used they are registered by XBL/PSN as having been taken and no longer work.

On PS3 (probably not on 360 cause they don't like letting you use accounts on multiple machines) if you have your friend's accounts on your PS3 you can go on their names, download them through the store (under previous downloads, you are able to do this up to 3 times) and they will still work on your account (being stored on the hardrive). At least that's how most thing on PSN work (like LBP DLC).

Also Klassic Reptile looks amazing enough that I'm probably switching my pre-order to Amazon.

alright thank you very much. So i dont order at all off the net but i just did it from amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/Mortal-Kombat..._1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1292272272&sr=1-1

so do i have to email them saying i want the tournament edition, or am i just getting the game and the reptile skin / fatality since i just order that?

ya i look at it a few ways.

1 scorpion and sub zero basically have there ninja outfit, it may not be original but it is very close. only downfall is not getting the classic fatalities.

2 reptile you get his ninja out fit everyone wanted, and probably head eat

its a 2 for 1 for me.

EXACTLY!!!

Plus, it's probably MUCH cheaper to buy the DLC from the other 2 versions later, than to have to pay $180 for all 3 of them.

They (retailers) will always f****** you, when you try to resell back games.

Nobody implied that you would resell the game(s). If you have a receipt/proof of purchase, there is a little thing called "returning".

Not if the code comes inside the game box, like it did for Smackdown vs Raw 2010.
It's considered used by Best Buy and GameStop.

All games that I have purchased that came with DLC had the code on a piece of cardboard separate from the game box that has a perforated piece that needs to be peeled off.

I expect the same with Mortal Kombat.

Besides, you guys have an even better way of avoiding that by ordering them online in which they will email the codes instead. Just return the games with your receipt to the brick and mortar stores once you get the email. Works everytime for me.

Just some thoughts about the preorder announcement-

-I'm in love with Reptile original costume. Love it.

-When they say each ninja will come with their own original fatality, we already know they're talking about Toasty and Spine/head rip, but with Reptile they're talking about the head eating, and not the disappearing slice, right?

-For all of the people worrying about if these extra fatalities and alt costumes (and Kratos) as pre-orders only, they're almost guaranteed to appear on the Store for a price for those who didn't buy new or pre-order. No need to buy 3 copies of the game from different stores and returning them later (unless you really want to).

-I really don't like that Toasty fatality (one of a tinyful handful of fatalities that is iconic of MK) is not in the original game, and you have to buy it or preorder it to get it. I'm just getting a Kollector's Edition from one store, and buying the rest of the extra costumes/fatalities online. But these extra costs really add up to the overall buyer's cost of the game, and I really hope that there's not too much stuff that they will charge for. I hope they keep it simple, like SF4, and just add all of the character costumes and fatalities in bundles for better priced deals.

-At first I thought my prediction of Kratos being included in a pre-order or Kollector's Edition pack was wrong when I first read the news. I was sad thinking that Kratos was included in every game, and he would be on the main roster of 26. But now that I read it more clearly ("original purchasers" the key words), and read some posts, and I agree with Araknyd03. It is likely that Kratos will be available to EVERY one who buys MK on PS3, but not directly playable from the disc, but with the DLC unlock code included with the game. Similar to how The Signal DLC level for Alan Wake for Xbox 360 was available. Gamers who bought it new got the code for the level free, but anyone who bought the game used (like me) likely didn't get the code if it was used by the previous owner, so they would have to buy it online for $10 if they wanted it. This is what I think will happen with Kratos.

can someone tell me do i have to email amazon to get the tournament edition or am i getting it just from ordering from the site. How does that work?

- I was thinking the same thing for Reptile.
His iconic Fatality from MK II was the Head Eat.

- I agree.
I'm going to get Scorpion's Classic Costume and "Toasty" through my GameStop Pre-Order, and just DLC the Costume / Classic Fatalities for Sub Zero and Reptile.

- Again kergon, I agree.
Initially I would have thought that Sub Zero and Scorpion's iconic MK 1 fatalities would be standard in an MK 1 thru 3 REBOOT, but I'm happy the way that it's turned out either way.

- This news made me even HAPPIER than the news of the Pre-Order editions (Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon) themselves.
I, for one, want a pure MK roster and it feels so good to know that I can have that.
I don't HAVE to have him on my MK roster, if I don't want to.

well i just ordered the game, on the site it says if you order they email the reptile things to you 2 days after shipping, but there is nothing about a TE at all. So im hoping everything is good, but i honestly have no idea what i am getting.

^^this

It better be good because i already have SF:SE stick

If it's in a good MK layout I'll consider it

Thats kinda what I am leaning twords, if its a SF style ill just use my TE stick if I decide to go with the 360 version or just use the Dualshock 3 on the PS3 if the stick isnt a classic MK layout.
