MK HD Kollection

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

Again, everyone missed my point. :-|

My point wasn't that they SHOULD charge for a demo.
(They're always free on PSN. I know that.)

My point is that, at this point, I WOULD pay for a demo.
I just want to try out some MK 9 from here to April 2011.

I believe that they are counting on the demo to push the most reticent players to buy the MK HD collection

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

I posted this link a while back either in this thread of one of the others, but still interesting when you note that the release date at Newegg hasn't changed. Can't wait until the the 16th. By that time, we should know one way or the other.

Edit: lol, found it. I actually created the thread and you were the first to reply. :-p

Agreed.
I noticed the post from before and saw that it was still up, along with the overstock.com listing.

Neither of those dates have changed.

This gives me some hope that we might get something, come next Tuesday.

Or counting on the demo to push the most reticent players to buy MK 2011.

I know a lot of people who have not played or bought an MK since Trilogy, and since MK 2011 is designed to appeal to those fans of classic MK, what better way to market to them by repackaging their old favorites with a taste of the new- something which they maybe wouldn't have tried other wise.

Either way the MK HD Kollection with a Demo is a great business opportunity and is why I have faith in its existence

humansmoke44, I don't think many people are questioning its existence, but rather if it will actually be released on its scheduled release date (November 16... a.k.a. next Tuesday). The game does.... or at the very least, did.... exist. But whether it will see the inside of my PS3 any time soon is up for debate.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

Well, hopefully its announced tomorrow, being 1 week before. Which I think is sufficient time to generate a pretty good amount of hype.

In fact, if you look at the amount of hype generated right after a game's announcement - it really could be the optimal time to release the game.

But I don't think anybody should be holding their breath.

Very true, I was thinking about that the other day, actually. When a game is announced several months before its actual release, everyone goes crazy about it initially and then almost forget about it until it's released. It's almost bittersweet because you get excited for it, then wait 5 months, then "oh yeah, that game", and finally it's released. If the game were going to be released next Tuesday (doubtful), and they announced it today, the hype would build to its peak just as the game hit store shelves. Probably would sell a lot more that way than if it had been officially announced back at E3 or GamesCon. Today shall be a revealing day in the saga known as "Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection". :-p

If the game is truly being released on the 16th, then yes, stores should get them by Friday (if not sooner). But, if that's the case, I'd imagine WB or NR will say something before then. If it gets released and absolutely nothing is said about it (officially) beforehand, well, I'd be shocked.

agreed. Btw, the game better have trophies aswell!

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

Trophies would be cool, yes, but as long as it looks good, plays good and, most importantly, comes with a MK9 demo, I'll be elated! ;-)

That would be enough for me, as well.
An MK 9 demo would give me enogh time to get a feel for the controls and gameplay.

Plus, it would be an awesome way to enjoy Thanksgiving, after all that turkey.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

Weard. MK 9 is coming on 2011, trailers, photos and more are avaible. MK HD coming on november of this year.... no photos (well only the ps3 cover) no trailers nothing im starting to doubt it will be release.
