Doubtful that It's a legit Screenshot, I just can't see why someone would upload it onto DeviantArt, which is a site where people have been known to post custom images and fakes and also the prop's are just way off, I can see that the user just enlarged the red gates in the background from the original stage and the shadows and resolutions are just way off.

Yeah, I did notice some things looked a little odd. Overall, assuming it's a fake, I think the artist did a real nice job. I'd love for the HD stages to look something like this.

Yeah same, I really hope ( If they ever do it ) Netherealm will pull something off like this as It's a neat rendition of the Palace Gates but It would take ALOT of work ontop of re-doing the 2 sequels that followed ontop of doing the new Mortal Kombat. One can dream though!

I also think it's a fake bg. Remember the other 2 fakes screeshots (shao kahn & scorpion, the 2 kitanas) were also hosted on deviantart

I'd just like to add that if this HD Kompilation was a lie, Ed would have tweeted about it. Remember this Goro pic for MK 9? fans thought it was the new goro render etc, immediatly on his twitter he denied it. In this case he is being quiet secretive, so something is going on.

disregarding that it appears to be a ten minute PS image,

I think the major tip off to it being a fake is the "if warner bros caught me they'd be pissed"

but magnum you're right, for a moment this image did give me hope and excitement

I like it, the sky is well done, the trees are realistic, the shadows are well casted, the erosion on the statues is pretty realistic too. I would have enjoyed having this BG in MK 1 HD

Okay, just to keep the conspiracy theories going, did anyone see @MK_MortalKombat's tweet from last night? What are they talking about? Could the end (in this case) be November 16? Yeah.... I doubt it, but since yesterday came and went with nothing regarding the HD Kollection, I've just about lost hope. Now I'm really scrapping. :-p

Yeap, I saw it alright, but since I don't know what they are talking about (mk9? mk hd?) I didn't give it much attention.

Not to mention why would he write Warner Bros would be pissed if they found out?? If that was a real leak he'd do it anonymously and not brag about the potential for being caught.
